Chapter Twenty: Do You Want To Remember?

Rey's POV ~ ~

"Rey...Come on. Wake up. I need to ask you something. .." Poe pushed me. I sat up. I fell asleep on the couch.

"What do you want? "

"Right after you asked me if I thought Kylo was dangerous. You said something then collapsed. "

"Ya. I did."

"What was going on in your head. I thought I heard you say something I thought you wouldn't say for awhile."

"When I woke up from that supposed accident there was a man. He said his name was Ben. Kylo is that man. It was too much. I collapsed. "

"Oh."

"Ya." I got up and walked to the kitchen.  I opened the fridge and looked in.

"Rey."

"Hmm.?" I pulled out a juice.

"Do you even want to remember? "

"Haven't you already asked me that?"

"Ya, I have, answers change. Now please can you answer?"

"Well. Five years of my life. Poe. The accident is included in that.  What if middle school was worse than elementary. I don't know if I can handle the pain."

"Rey, I can guarantee that it was better."

"Really. Can you?" I put down the juice and grabbed some shoes and a jacket.  I walked out the door.

"Rey!" Poe called after me. I ignored him.

I pulled out my phone and called Finn.

"Rey are you okay? "

"Ya is there somewhere we can go and talk?"

"I know a diner. Want me to pick you up?"

"Ya."

"Where are you?"

"Two blocks from my house."

"Okay I'll hurry." I hung up and sat down on the curb. Finn pulled up five minutes later. I got in.

"Are you sure you're okay? "

"Can we just go?"

"Ya." He started driving. 

We pulled up to this small diner.

"They've got good food!" Finn said.

We sat down at a booth and looked at the menus.

"My name is Hux , what can I get for you today? "

"Hux?" Finn looked at him, " you work here?"

"Ya traitor I do. Hi Rey."

"Hux. How do you know me?"

"Kylo."

"Oh. How is he.?"

"Not good.  I'll exlain later."

"Water please,  Rey? " Finn said.

"Oh. Umm.. coffee please. "

"Okay. Will do. " Hux walked off.

"Rey. Please tell me."

"My accident. "

"Accident?"

"Almost six months have past. I had an accident and I can't remember five years of my life. "

"Oh."

"I have been struggling lately. I want to remember but I'm afraid of the pain that comes with it. I don't know what I'm missing. What is there to fear. Poe keeps asking me if I want to remember but I... I really don't know. When I woke up after my accident. Kylo was there. He knows me Finn."

"Rey.."

"I know.  Stay away from him. But Finn I'm also afraid that's not possible. "

"I..." His phone started ringing.  "It my mother please excuse me. Go ahead and order it'll be five to ten minutes."

"Here's your coffee Rey." Hux set a cup in front of me then another. "Gladis, I'm taking my break." He sat down. "Rey have you seen Kylo?"

"No why?"

"He walked out last night around 1am. Haven't seen him since."

"Why would you think I would know where he is?"

"You're the last thing he talked about. I don't know. I'm worried about him."
"Well. I'm sorry. I am of no help to you Hux."

"Well, okay." Phasma came bursting in. She sat down.

"Hux, Kylo called. He is leaving us. He said he joined another group. He said the First Order."

"What the Hell. The First Order! He's gotten himself mixed up with those guys. Anything he does with them he can't come back from. We need to find them. " he got up." Gladis, I quit. Rey you coming? "

"Ya."I got up. I ran out the diner past Finn.

"Rey where are you going?" Finn asked.

"To go and find Kylo."

"Well. I'm going with." He pit his phone in his pocket and followed behind me.

"What are you doing?" I thought.
