Dear Mr. and Mrs. Piece of Paper,
Well, I'm still in the village. Still in the same little house, in fact.
I had packed up my things and was ready to go when I realized how far from my own home I am! I know I have to go a little south and a long way east, but it will take at least a day to get back to the igloo. From there it's two more days back to my cabin.
I sure hope Nosey and Rosy are okay. Pigs are smart though. They're probably going through my trunks, looking for food. I hope they don't eat the blanket on my bed! Maybe they'll find the spider eyes and decide they're okay to eat...
Walking back is not a problem. The problem is that I'm out of supplies! I ate my last piece of bread yesterday, and the zombie priest ate my golden apple. Too bad I can't eat these gold nuggets.
I decided that I had to somehow get supplies though. Even though I didn't want to, I finally went outside and tried to talk to the villagers. Even in the daylight, they're a little scary-looking! There is at least a dozen of them, and they're all taller than me. There are no children. Maybe it's the eyebrows that make them look a little mean. I'm not sure.
Anyway, I tried to talk to them. Aside from getting more sighs, all they wanted to talk about was trading. I thought trading would be okay. But were these useful trades? No! Of course not. Stupid villagers...
All they wanted to do was trade items like paper and meat for a shiny green gem. I tried to explain that I didn't have food or paper and that's why I wanted to trade, but that didn't change their minds. And unless I can eat that green gem, I don't think they can help me.
I'm going to have to find some other way to get home.
Tomorrow, I guess.
Alex
