Chapter 4

*Caroline's POV*

I opened my eyes, everything was blurry. My head was killing me and i could smell alcohol in my clothes. I closed my eyes and tried to make my headache to dissapear. I noticed someone was besides me, quickly, i opened my eyes and rolled my head to see who was there.


I saw Ashton sleeping next to me. I was so confused. Why was he here, sleeping next to me? What the hell happened yesterday night?
As i made myself this questions, i tried to remember. All i could remember was being in the bar with Emma, during the party, and taking some shots, everything after that seemed black.


"Oh Caroline, you woke up, morning" Ashton said with his morning voice, which i loved. The sound of his voice made my head hurt even more.
"Urgh my head is killing me" i said, touching my forehead.


"Oh I'll bring you something for that!" Ashton said, getting out of my bed and going to my bathroom, which was next to my room. After some minutes he came back with pills and he made me drink them. The pain started to low down so i asked him what happened in the party and why we ended up here. While he told me the story, my jaw dropped. I don't like very much alcohol? Why did i get drunk? What will Luke think about this?
All those thoughts were inviding my mind.


"I need to call Luke" i said, trying to reach my phone. Ashton touched my hand, stared at my eyes and said "No, its fine, you need to rest now." He touched my shoulder and lyed me in the bed again, wrapped his arms around me and i put my head in his chest. I hated doing this. I felt that i was going to hurt Luke but Ashton was right, i needed to rest.


Slowly i could feel how i started falling asleep in his arms, the feeling of being with him never changed. It feels safe and the butterflies never stop.
"Thank you for taking care of me Ash, after everything that happened" i whispered, i was almost asleep by then. The only thing i heard before falling asleep was him saying; 'No problem, I love you Caroline'

*Luke's POV*

My plane landed at 7:00am. Being without Caroline this past few weeks was horrible, i couldn't stop thinking of her and i missed her a lot. And timezones won't make this better. I couldn't sleep well knowing Ashton "took care" of her while i was gone. Sigh. I need to see her now, and show Ashton that she is mine.
My plan for today is to spend the day with my girl, that is not actually MY girl yet, but i plan to ask her to be my girlfriend soon.

As soon as i arrived home, Michael and Calum came and hugged me. "WE MISSED YOU" they screamed. After giving them some presents i bought for them i asked where Ashton was. They looked at eachothers for some seconds and then they stared at me. "Oh..um...we don't really know where he is.." Michael said, touching his neck.

"Yeah...he didn't come back since Julie's party last Saturday.." Calum said looking at the dirty floor.
"Oh guys i know what happened at that party...but..why he didn't come back from Caroline's? Do you guys know something about this?" I said, waiting for an answer.

"Well we talked by phone with him" Calum started.
"What did he say?" I said
"Um..well...he said something about that Caroline likes to be with him so he stayed more time with her? Its okay Luke...remember, they are only friends." Calum finished.

What? Caroline likes being with him? Impossible. I have to go there now. I have to be with her.

I was going to say something when i heard someone, Ashton.
"Heyyy guys! I'm back home!" He said, his smile faded when he saw me.
"Hey Ashton" Mike and Cal said together. I got closer to him, looked at him in the eyes and asked "What the hell happened between you and Caroline while i wasn't here?!"
He let a little giggle out. I was furious by then. I pushed him against the door and shouted "WHAT DID YOU DO WITH HER. TELL ME ASHTON"
He laughed, this time, louder. "HEY LUKE CALM DOWN" Michael said, stoping me from punching Ashton.
I sighed and looked at the floor. "Okay, Ashton what happened?" I said, trying to stay calm.
He had a smile from ear to ear. "We just cuddeled..." He said, winking.
"Just cuddeled?" I asked, hoping not to hear what i didn't what to hear.
"Nope!" He giggled.

"Ashton i swear, if you did something or touched her in some way..." I started getting closer and closer to him, determined to punch him until he bleeds. I was furious, i tried to control myself but i couldn't.
I punched him with hard, leaving him a bleeding nose.

"What the fuck!?" Calum said, running to Ashton, who was trying to stop the bleeding with his hands.
"I will bring toilet paper to clean all this blood" Michael said, he turned around before going to the bathroom, he looked at me and shaked his head.

What have i done?

*Caroline's POV*

I wanted to see Luke now, i missed him so much this lasts weeks and i couldn't wait to see him. I decided to surprise him and go to his house so maybe we could talk about his time with her mom and everything.

When i arrived to the boys house, right before knocking the door i heard weird noises coming from inside, like screams or something.
I opened the door, worried, and i found blood in the floor. I started to get even more worried, my heart starting beating fast. What the hell is happening here?

"GUYS?!" I screamed, hoping someone would answer.
I started to walk around the house looking for them when i finally heard Calum's voice, he was in the kitchen.
I ran there and i saw Ashton covered with blood.

I got close to Ash and touched his face, "What happened Ash?" I asked. He didn't answer. He was losing many blood and the blood wouldn't stop coming out of him.
I asked him again what happened, this time almost shouting. I was very nervous, my eyes started getting watery. I looked up and i saw Michael, who seemed as worried as i was.
He touched my shoulder and said, "He will be fine Care, Luke and him had a little fight and..."
"What? A fight? Where is Luke?" I said.
"He is upstairs, calling a doctor to help us to stop the blood." Calum said, still trying to make the blood coming from Ash's nose stop.
Ashton eyes started to shut, I talked to him but he never answered. I didn't know what to do, my stomach was killing me, everyone in the room was nervous about his bloody nose and all we could do was wait for the ambulance. I was so scared.

After some minutes, which seemed like ages for everyone, we heard the ambulance's sirens.
The doctor said Ashton will be fine but he lost many blood, therefore he was weak. They will have to take him to the hospital until he gets stonger, that means one or two days.

I don't know what i would have done if someone worse happened.
