Chapter 3

*Caroline's POV*

I waked up alone in the couch i looked around to find Luke and i found a letter in the table; *morning beautiful, i have practice with the band and i didnt want to wake you up. Wanna come to my house once you read this? It would make me so happy. See you xx*

I couldnt help to smile. He was so sweet and nice and hot. I wanted to go to his house, eventhough that means seeing Ashton. I wanted to see him again, i miss him.
I ran to my room and dressed up, with my Nirvana's top and black skirt.
When i was ready i took my car and started driving to Luke's house. I was so excited to see him again.

*Luke's POV*
"Im home! Ready to practice!" I shouted as i closed the door.
"Hey Lucas!" Calum said from the kitchen, i went there and we started talking and then i realized that either Ashton or Michael where there...
"Where are Michael and Ashton?" I asked Cal.
"Michael in his room, sleeping. He is probably with Mary tho...and i dont know what happened to Ashton, when he arrived home yesterday he was furious and he locked himself on his room." He said
"Oh...well, we need to wake them up. We need to practice plus, i think someone special will be here today" i said and i winked at Cal.
"Caroline?" He asked, he seemed worried.
"Yeah, now lets wake them up" i said.
"No, i will wake them up, you need to eat something" he said, he seemed scared and nervous now.
"Okay..." I said
I ate a toast with cheese while i was waiting for them. When they finally came, Michael was half naked and Mary was next to him and Ashton looked like shit. We walked to our 'practice room' and got ready to start.
"Okay lets start!" Calum said
Seconds before starting the practice, the bell rang. It was Caroline.
"Guys i invited Caroline to the practice, i hope that is not a problem." I said smiling at Ashton, who looked even more sadder and annoyed.
"No its fine" Michael said.
"Great, its been ages since i see her!"
Mary said.
"Ok" Ashton said, looking at the floor.
I went upstairs and opened the door. She was gorgeous.

"Hi! Is it too late?" She said as she kissed my cheeck.
"Nope! You are in time! C'mon lets go downstairs or the guys will kill me" I told her, smiling
"Sure" she said. We went to the practice room, where the guys were waiting for us.

"Mary! Oh my god its been ages!" Caroline screamed and hugged Mary.
Ashton looked sick. In one way or another i liked it. He was feeling like i felt when they were together.
"So, lets start!" Michael said.
We started playing our favorite songs while the girls where sitting down listening and smiling.

Once the practice finished, Calum went somewhere, he never told us where tho. Michael and Mary went to a restaurant. That means, Ashton, Caroline and I were left alone in the house. This was awkward.
"Lets go to my room, Care" i said loud enough for Ash to hear
"Okay!" She said and i hold her hand and we whent upstairs.
Ashton went to his room, which was next to mine. So he could here everything.

Caroline sat down in my bed and i sat down next to her. I touched her hair and i told her she was gorgeous. She smiled at me, and said thank you.
We layed down in my bed and talked for minutes. This was the right time, i had to tell her how i felt.

"Care...i have something to tell you" i said nerviously. I was scared about how she would react.
"Go ahead" she replied
I was so nervous now, my stomach was full of butterflies. Yeah cheesy but thats how i felt.
"So...since i was a kid i had a big crush on you. You are gorgeous inside and out. Everytime i see you i want to hold forever. And if you feel something like this for me, please tell me. Because i love you and i'd do anything to make you happy. Remember your favorite song of my band? heartbreak girl? i wrote it for you, how i loved you, how i was stuck on the friendzone, how i wished you could see the truth, that i love you more than Ashton will ever love you. I love you, and i dont expect you to say it back, but i love you"I told her, looked at her in the eyes and waited for her respond. She remain silent for some minutes. That made me even more scared, i was scared for her to laugh at that cheesy but honest thing i just said.

*Caroline's POV*
Wha-what? He loves me? Oh my gosh. I dont think i love him too, i never saw him in another way than just my best friend. Its been only 2 weeks since Ashton and I broke up, It was too early to fall in love with other guy.

Luke noticed i didnt reply and he seemed nervous.
"Caroline, you dont need to say anything, i understand. Probably its too early for this. I just want to make you happy." He said, touching my cheeck.
That made me feel better, now i wasnt pressured to say 'i love you too'.
"Thank you so much for everything Luke" i said

He was smiling now and i was smiling too. I came closer to his face and kissed him. His kisses are so perfect and his lips tastes like mint. It was
Perfect.

*Caroline's POV*


I woke up in Luke's arms. Perfect way to wake up. I slept on his house because when i realized i had to go back home it was too late and Luke didnt want me to drive alone at night He was still sleeping and i was hungry as fuck, so i slowly, without making any sound, made my way to the kitchen. When i got there, Calum was there, eating cereal. He gave me some cereal too and we talked for a while until he had to go. I was left alone in the kitchen. It was fine for me tho, i was looking through the window finishing my breakfast.
Suddenly, i hear someone coming to the kitchen. It was Ashton. I felt something weird in my stomach. I felt sick and at the same time i felt that feeling that you get when you love someone, the butterflies

"Morning Care" he said as he cooked himself an egg.
"Morning" i said almost whispering
He looked like he haven't sleep in years.
He sat down in a chair, facing me and we just looked at each other while eating. It was so awkward. So awkward.
"How are you?" I said to break the unconfortable silence.


"How do you think I'm Caroline? I haven't slept in many days, looking at you makes me feel sick because i lost you, i love you and i lost you." He said as he looked at his plate.
I wasn't sure how to feel about that...it hurts seeing him like this but it wasn't my fault. i wasn't the one who got my ex pregnant.

Someone came in the kitchen.
"Morning!" Luke said with a smile, but his smile faded when he saw me eating breakfast with Ashton.
"Hey Luke" i said. He came closer to me and kissed me, on my cheeck and i blushed. Ashton was looking, i could even feel his hate towards Luke.

After that kiss, Ashton left us alone and he went to his room.
"Did he tell you anything weird or hurt you?" He said, worried.
"No, im fine" i said and i gave him a little smile.
"Cool" he said as he put some cereal in his plate and started eating.
I watched him eat his cereal while we talked about stuff.
"So, wanna go out today?" He said once he finished his breakfast.
"Not really, i'd like to go to my house and relax today." I replied.
"Okay, let me drive you home" he said, sounding sad.

*Caroline's POV*

I spent this last 2 weeks with Mary and Emma, since Luke was out of the country because he went to visit his mom. He is going to come back in a week. I miss him so fucking much, it hurts.
I haven't seen Emma in years but we'd always talked by imessage and stuff to keep us updated with everything. Emma and her friend Julie live in Miami, way far from Australia, where i live. They came to visit me and Mary for a month or so, and she brought Julie with her.

I never met Julie before, but everyone says she is sweet and she always loves to party and get wasted. I missed Luke so much, but being with my friends made me forget for a while that Luke was gone for some weeks. Yet we skyped every single night and called each other constantly.

Someone knocked my door. Im sure its Mary and Emma, as usual. I walked to the door and opened it.
"hiiii!" Emma said.
"hey" Mary said.
"Hi, are you guys going to come in?" I said.
"Nope! Actually we came to say a quick hi and to say that you are invited to Julie's party today at my house! Wear nice and seductive clothes, there will be sexy guys" she said, winking. I remembered, Emma and Julie are staying in the same house.

"Oh..okay..i will think about it" i said. I really wasnt in the mood for parties and sexy guys and alcohol.
"C'mon Caroline! You haven't left your house in weeks! You need to go out, have fun." Mary said grabbing my hands.

"Ugh fine" i said. I still didn't want to go but i will go for Mary and Emma, plus because i want to meet Julie.
"Great! Its at 9pm and it finishes at 6am! See you there!" Emma said, i nodded, said goodbye and closed the door.
This is going to be so boring.

*Ashton's POV*

I was lying in the couch alone watching tv when Michael arrived home and sat next to me.
"Hey Mary told me her friend Julie is doing a party tonight, wanna go? People say it will be epic!" Michael said.
"Oh..i dont want to do anything today to be honest. Plus im sure Caroline will be there and i dont want it to be awkward...you know" I said as i changed the channel.
"C'mon Ash! There will be hot girls, alcohol, and of course, sex for everyone" Michael said, giggling.
"Ugh okay I will go" i said.
Calum made his way to his room as he said "Cool cuz im going too".

I arrived to Julie's house with Michael and Calum.
We knocke the door and a tall, with black hair and bug titts girl greeted us.
"Hey guys, Im Julie! Welcome to my party! The chicks on the right, alcohol on the left and if you want rooms go upstairs and try not to break anything! Have fun!" She said, hugged us and then left and made out with a guy.
"Cool....Hey Ash, Cal, I will look for Mary, you have fun with some girl. I left some condoms in your jacket, just to be careful this time, Ash thats an indirect for you." he said, pointing at my jacket.

I laughed. I cant believe he left condoms in my jacket.
"Okay have fun dude" i said and started walking around the big and beautiful house. I wonder if Caroline is here.



*Caroline's POV*

"Oh there is Michael! Gotta go girls have fun!" Mary said and left me and Emma alone.

"Okay so it will be only me and you now, lets go for some drinks. I wanna get drunk tonight!" Emma said. We walked to the bar where there where millions and millions of differents drinks and hot guys drinking.
"Okay what do you want?" She said looking at me.
"Oh..i dont know..choose for me" i said.
"Give me two shots please" she said to the sexy guy responsable to give everyone the drink they want.

"Here you go" the guy said and gave us the two shots. I drank it all at once. I dont know why but it made me feel better.

"Here you are Emma! I have been looking for you!" A tall girl with black hair and with a high pitched voice said. She looked at me and said "Oh you must be Caroline! Im Julie! Emma's friend! She told me tons of things about you! Nice to finally meet you!" She said and kissed my cheeck. She smelled like dicks, alcohol and perfume.
"Nice to meet you too Julie" i said smiling. Emma just stayed there watching everything while drinking her second shot.

"Well guys, the guys are right there. If you need a room just go downstairs and try not to break anything!" She said and pointed at a group of sexy guys and then left.

"Oh gosh i got my first victim, that sexy blonde dude right there" Emma said pointing at a blonde with a black shirt.
"Go for him Emma!" I said, she smiled at me and then left. I watched her talk to the poor guy as i drank my third shot alone. Im starting to feel a little bit weird...drunk...but i just couldn't stop drinking.
I tried to walk to get myself out of the bar and go away from the alcohol.

*Ashton's POV*
"Dude this party its so boring and the girls dont have titts." I said as i looked around to see if i could find someone sexy.
"Oh boy i think i found someone" Calum said as he pointed at a girl that was flirting with some blonde guy. "Thats Emma, Caroline's friend." I told him, looking at her.
"Well i wanna get into Emma's pants tonight, gotta go" Calum said as he left me alone.
I started to walk around. My heart stopped for a second. I saw Caroline. She seems drunk, she is walking weird. I got closer to her so we could talk for a while.

"Hi Caroline. Whats up?" I said and touched her shoulder.
"A-ashton?" She said, almost whispering. It was hard to listen to her since the music was very loud and many people where talking and dancing around, so i got closer to her face. Her breath smelled like alcohol.
"Ashton take me home im not fe-" she started saying and then she fainted in my arms.
"Oh my god Caroline" i said as i catched her. "I will take you home baby don't worry" i said and started walking with her in my arms.

"Hey you! What do you think you are doing with Caroline?" i heard Julie saying from behind. I turned around and show her Care's body and said "She got drunk and fainted. I will take her home"
"Oh my god! We must call the ambulance!" She started screaming.
"No, its fine, i'll take care of her. Promise."
Suddenly everyone started looking at Caroline, who was still lying on my arms.
Michael and Mary came to see what was happening.
"Oh my god. What the hell happened with Caroline?!" Mary said and and came closer to her.
"She got drunk and fainted" I said, as i touched her hair.
"I'm taking her home" Mary said
"No, I'm. You can stay here with Michael, i promise i'll take care of her." i said, looking at her beautiful face.
"Are you sure you dont need help or anything?" Julie interrupted.
"No, its fine"
"Okay, take care of her, i'll visit her in the morning" she said and left with Michael, and so did Julie.

I went to my car and sat Caroline on the seat next to mine. When i was about to start driving she started to move, but she was still sleeping. I stayed there, looking at her until she stopped moving, and that was when i started driving.
Once we arrived I took Caroline to her room and lyed her down there. I lyed down next to her, on the right side of the bed and watched her sleep. She looks gorgeous.

The room was dark, and suddenly a light came from Care's phone, i checked from who was the message. Luke. He is always ruining everything.
*Care, oh my god, i heard what happened in the party. It everything alright?? Please text back, im sp worried babe.*
Ha, they probably didnt tell him im with her...
*Caroline is okay, im taking care of her. -ash*
*what the hell Ashton? If you touch her i swear i will kill you.*
*haha, chill mate, im just looking at her while she sleeps. Plus someone needs to take care from her while you are away you know? And you arent even her boyfriend officially, so you should calm the fuck down.*
*Ashton im tired....Just...Tell Caroline to call me when she wakes up; i need to talk with her*
*I will think about it.*
Now im with her and i wont make her think about Luke while im with her. When she wakes up, i wount tell her about him. I want this to be just me and her, like it used to be.
I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and tried to sleep.
For a moment, she was mine again.
