he is rolled up shirtsleeves of a button-down shirt
is closing your eyes to laugh with your whole body
toaster waffles in bed with netflix and down comforters
he is whole-body shivers and nights spent alone, pretending like you don't care where he is
and who he's with
is hanging up the phone to call right back seconds later because it's impossible to get enough
he is big hands enclosing yours and lips curved like a W
he is everything you want
and everything you know you can never have
victorious Beyoncé songs blasting through speakers
dancing like the world is ending
he could save you
if only he knew you were drowning
