Belle's POV
I watched as Harry answered Quirrell. I won't lie, I'm a little scared, but I had a plan.
When Quirrell reached out to grab Harry, I gasped and fell to the ground, eyes closed. I was playing dead. Sort of...I was actually just pretending to faint.
I heard footsteps and suddenly Harry was rolling my limp body over. "Belle? Belle, wake up. Everything's okay."
The cold laughter of Quirrell drifted into my mind. "How pathetic. She's fainted at the sight of her new Lord's face."
"Her new Master, I think you meant."
At that I shuddered. Harry noticed and leaned down, whispering softly so no one heard but me. "Good plan. What's next?" Then he leaned back up and looked at Quirrell. "We can't leave her like this."

Harry's POV
Good plan Belle...good plan.
Quirrell laughed at me as I complained about leaving Belle. "She will come to eventually, Potter. But let's deal with you right now." He reached out to grab me, pulling me away from Belle.
"Hey! Get off!" I yelled, slightly annoyed that he took me from my friend.
Suddenly, Quirrell pulled away from me with a scream of agony. I took a good look at him and noticed that when he grabbed my arm, his skin started burning. There was a grey smoke coming off of his skin. I smiled triumphantly and looked at my hands.
"Sorry, Quirrell." I whispered. I reached up and grabbed the Professor's face with my hands, watching as his face started melting beneath my fingers. He pulled away and his screams of agony disappeared as a voice drifted over me in one last attempt.
"Join me, and we can use the stone to bring back your parents. Wouldn't you like that, Potter?"
The mirror showed me my mother and father smiling at me and I froze. Should I? No. No way. My friends were more important, and I needed to save them. I stood and ran toward the door. Belle stood up to follow me but she screamed out in pain a second later. Quirrell, with his face all burned, had Belle in his arm and his wand pressed to her neck.
The door was blocked by fire now, so there was no way to get out. I took a step toward Belle. Quirrell pressed the wand deeper in Belle's throat, earning a rewarding whimper.
"Give me the stone, boy." Quirrell snarled.
I shook my head as I started pulling my wand out.
Quirrell started to yell the spell. "Avada Kedav-" I interrupted him.
"Expelliarmus!" Belle fell to the ground, eyes closed, body limp. I thought she was just pretending again, but I noticed her lips turning blue. No, no, no! She can't die! He didn't finish the spell! Now that I think back to it, my spell didn't cast until the whole curse was out of Quirrell's mouth.
I ran over and grabbed Quirrell's throat in my hands, enjoying the burning sensation and Quirrell's screams this time. He turned into a fog and flew right through me, making me dizzy.
I dragged myself toward Belle's dying body. I had time to whisper her name once more before my eyes closed and I fell away into nothing.
