Belle's POV
"Please, Belle. It's been ages. Why can't we date anymore? I said I was sorry."
I was sitting on the couch in the common room doing my homework, and Fred would not stop bugging me. "Yes, Fred. It has been ages...and you never tried to talk to me. You shut me out. So, no. We cannot date. I don't even know when we can be friends again. I missed talking to you and you weren't there."
Fred sighed. "But you were still happy."
I laughed. "Yeah, I was. But after we broke up, for the first couple weeks, I was absolutely devastated. You know who was there to make me feel better? George...your twin brother, George. When I really wanted it to be you. But it wasn't. And now I realize that I'm fine with that. I'm fine with George having to be the one to-" I was cut off by a voice circulating around the room.
"Belle? Are you okay?" Fred sounded worried, but I didn't answer.
The voice was louder now. "Belle, come help me." It sounded urgent.
"Can't you hear that?" I asked.
Fred frowned and looked around. "Hear what, Belle? It's just us here..."
I shook my head, my mind becoming fuzzy. I listened to the voice, trying to decipher who it was. I stood up, knocking over the table as I did.
"Belle?" Fred sounded confused as he looked at me. "Where are you going?"
I kept walking, not realizing where I was going. I walked out to the halls of the school, and up toward the third floor.
When I got to the third floor, I was completely lost. My mind was blank and I was only following the voice. I couldn't hear or see anyone else. I walked toward a locked door at the end of the corridor.
I pulled out my wand and whispered, "Alohamora." The door flew open and I walked in and down through a trapped door in the floor, not even glancing at the three-headed dog. I slid down the tunnel and landed in a net of vines. I realized what they were instantly and froze, letting myself be pulled through.
When I fell to the ground, I heard the voice again.
"Belle, come see me. I've missed the face of my beautiful daughter."
I followed the voice, completely gone and lost in a trance. The voice led me to a door that was partly open and I walked through. I noticed the door at the other end was opened as well, but dozens of keys were in the door. I walked through that door as well, walking straight toward a giant chess set.
"Belle, I need your help. Hurry to me...hurry to your father." The voice sounded anxious and angry.
I fell to the ground with a gasp. There was a searing pain in my head as I was pulled from my trance. I closed my eyes, holding on to my head. Three voices were instantly around me.
"Belle?" One whispered.
"What in the bloody hell are you doing here?" The second one asked, completely astounded.
"Shut up, Ron. She's hurt. Can't you see that?" That was definitely Hermione, so that must mean that Harry was the first voice and Ron was the second. "Elle, are you alright?"
I groaned and opened my eyes, staring into the eyes of three of my best friends. "I'm okay...but where are we?"
Hermione glanced at the boys. "We are down in some sort of chamber. We are looking for a stone that we think Snape is trying to steal."
I frowned. "How did I get down here?" I didn't remember anything but a voice. "A voice. Did you guys hear a voice down here?"
Hermione frowned and all three of them shook their heads. "No...Belle, are you sure you are okay?"
I sighed and nodded. "Help me up."
Hermione stood and the boys each grabbed one of my hands and pulled me up. I wobbled a bit at first but after a few seconds, I was standing fine.
I looked around and noticed that there was a human sized chessboard in front of us. "Um, guys? Did you notice the giant chessboard?"
The three looked around and their eyes widen. Ron grins. "We are going to have to play chess. I'll be the leader in this one, Harry."
And with that, we all took the remaining steps to the chessboard.
