"They don't know what I'm going through. Nobody saw the struggle. They just saw the reward. They focused on the peace, but they never saw the war."

"Dylan! Oh God, Dylan!" Danielle yelled as she burst into Dylan's bedroom.
Dylan groggily looked up at her in confusion and when she tried to sit up Tre gripped her body to his more tightly.
"What Danie? What's wrong?" she asked.
"Get up! I have to talk to you!" she then ripped the covers from their bodies and Dylan immediately curled into a ball when the cold air created goosebumps.
"What the hell, Dan?" she groaned into the crook of Tre's neck.
"Baby, tell her to get out," Danielle heard Tre whisper.
"No, you get out. Please, I need to talk to you, Dyl," she cried and stomped like a little brat.
Dylan looked up at her again and finally noticed that Danielle looked like shit. Her hair was everywhere, her face was paler than usual, and she looked like she hasn't been eating.
"Danie? What happened to you?" Dylan was now sitting up and looking up at Danielle in concern.
"I can't tell you unless he leaves. Just, please... make him leave, Dyl,"she cried and slightly bounced as if she was throwing another tantrum.
"Fine." she huffed. "Baby..." she shook him. "Tre, get up. You gotta' go."
"Ughh... it's too fúcking early for this, man," he groaned before reluctantly getting up. "Can I at least take a shower?"
"Yes, but you needed to leave anyway. Chris is coming home soon."
"I ain't scared of him. The only reason why I leave when you tell me he's on his way is because I respect you..." he said before going into the bathroom.
"Now... What is it?" Dylan asked with and attitude.
"It's about Keith..."
"What about him?"
"He's dead..."
"What?" Dylan yelled in disbelief and Danielle shushed her.
"Shh... I know... He's been dead for weeks now. He was... He was murdered..."
"Oh. My. God," Dylan gasped and put her hand over her mouth.
What they didn't know was that Tre heard everything, but he didn't feel as bad as he should. He was just a high school sweetheart anyway.
"I don't know what to do," she sobbed.
"That is terrible. I am so sorry, Danie," Dylan leaned in and hugged her.
"I just don't know what to do. It was on the news, but how come I'm just now finding out? I can't believe... I just can't believe he's gone," she sighed before she started crying again.
"C'mere," Dylan told her before putting her head on her shoulder and letting her cry. Just then Tre walked out the bathroom.
"I'll see you later, baby girl. Love you."
"Love you too, Tre," she whispered.
She heard his heavy feet walk through the living room, but then it all stopped when she heard the front door open. She thought he had left, but she then heard the yelling.
