“We're going out.” I said, throwing open the door to Jasper's house. Jasper was on the couch, asleep. “Damn you, I wanted to have an elaborate entrance,” I muttered. I walked up to the couch and kneeled next to him. “JASPER!” I yelled, he didn't wake up. I picked up a book from the book shelves and threw it on the ground, it made a loud thud. Jasper remained asleep. I sighed and walked over to his Xbox, I turned it on. The music for one of Jasper's favorite video games began playing. Jasper opened his eyes.

“Don't mess with my saves.”

“I'll erase them unless you get up.”

“I had no idea you were suicidal Em.”

“I want to go out.”

“I'm tired.”

“That sounds like a you problem.”

“Where are you wanting to go?”

“I... I didn't think it would get this far.”

“You woke me up, now we need to go somewhere, I'm not getting woken up and have it be for naught.”

“Wanna go ice skating?”

“Neither of us can ice skate.”

“Maybe I can, you don't know me.”

“Can you ice skate Em?”

“... no.”

“How about we go to a drive in movie?”

“That sounds cute, you get to drive.”

“You say that like it's a privilege.”

“It's not, I just don't want to.” Jasper sighed, but was smiling at me, his crooked smile.

We pulled into the drive in, we were going to watch the movie from the bed of Jasper's truck. The stars were all out and the moon was full, the air smelled like rain and sea side.

“We're watching Deadpool again?” I asked, Jasper looked over at me, he was opening my drink for me.

“You woke me up. You let me pick the place. You wanted to go out. Do you have a problem with seeing it?”

“What would you say if I did?

“First world- first world probleeems!” He sang, I flicked his arm.

“Shut up.”

“Bite me.”

“I will.”

“Kinky.”

I giggled and smiled at him, I liked talking to Jasper, he was easy to talk to and I didn't have to sensor my awkwardness.

“You just wanted to see the movie again because you think Ryan Reynolds is hot,” I accused.

“And because I love Deadpool.”

“And Ryan Reynolds.”

“Me too!”

The movie began, I put my head on Jasper's shoulder and leaned against him, he was always ridiculously warm, even in the winter. I am the exact opposite, I was very sensitive to weather change and got cold incredibly easily. Jasper put his arm around me. “Are you cold?” He asked softly, I nodded, he draped his jacket over my shoulders, I smiled happily and put on the jacket thankfully.

“Here comes all the sex,” I whispered.

“Whatever, I know this is your favorite part.”

“Happy international women's day.”
