Rose had recognized Jack. He was shaking with fear. She walked over to him.

" Hey.. Don't cry. Try your hardest. Your mom will be proud of you." Jack nodded.

Emily walked in. " Primrose, Jack, follow me!"

Rose and Jack followed Emily into their bedrooms. Rose was speechless. Her bed had designer sheets that were white. Her walls were light purple. Everything, if not almost, was designer. Rose looked in the closet. It had all of the latest clothing, all in her style. Ranging from real animal fur that she would never wear because she's not that type of person, and white clothes that she'd stain very easily. It was all as if she was in heaven. She looked at the other side of the room and noticed her window. The view was a beautiful glance of the city.

On the other hand, Jack's room was also very designer. His sheets were light green, and his walls were blue. His two favorite colors. Jack's closet was mostly light green and black.

Rose was curious about what Jack's room would look like. Maybe they had only given her royalty because she's the daughter of Katniss.

Rose peeked in Jack's room. She invited herself in.

" Wow... So it's not just me." Rose said.

Jack shook his head. " Nope. My mother was telling me all about how they give you complete royalty and everything that you've ever dreamed of until you have to go into the arena. She said we should enjoy it while we can."

" That's weird," Rose walked over to Jack's window.

" Huh?"

" That we both have completely different views in our windows. You have the beach, I have the city." Rose said, touching Jack's window. He went to his side table and picked up a remote and changed the background to the city. Rose's eyes widened.

" Whoa... How did you do that?" Rose faced Jack. He waved the remote around.

" The view is fake. It's changeable. Kind of like changing channels on TV."

Rose nodded. " Oh."

" Yeah. My mom told me almost everything, about the arena and stuff." Jack said.

" So you're advanced?" Rose asked.

" No, not exactly. Actually not at all. We never really had enough time to teach me the things that I needed to know. We didn't know about the reaping until a few days ago. My mom just told me the stuff about the arena and what I should know, not how to actually do it."

Rose felt bad. Jack didn't know anything. If anything, Rose was the advanced one. Which was good. Of course, Rose and Jack were neighbors, but not close enough to be best friends. Or friends at all. More like allies. She couldn't feel bad for him, she wouldn't feel bad for him.

" My parents taught me everything I need to know. So I'm in good shape." Rose almost bragged.

" That's nice." Jack said. Rose nodded and walked out of his room. Jack just sat his bed, staring at the fake view.

Rose looked in her dresser for pajamas. They had a range of almost every color. She picked this white nightgown, and took the light silk pink bathrobe and set it on her chair for the morning. Rose also took her slippers and put them next to the chair.

Rose changed the window setting. She wanted it to be a pink beach to calm her.

Then Rose drifted off to sleep, enjoying the moment before she had none left.
