" Thank you, Ms. Mellark." A speaker said.

Rose put her bow and arrows back and sighed. She really hoped that she got a low score but she most likely didn't. Great.

Metal doors opened like an elevator and Rose transported back to the training station.

" How'd you do?" Jack asked.

" Amazing." Rose rolled her eyes and sat on the floor.

" Um.. isn't that a good thing?" He asked.

Rose shed a tear and went back to their loft on the train.

Jack looked confused and he ran after her.

Haymitch stopped them. " Whoa, Peeta and Katniss. Why in the Vodka are you two running?"

" I'll listen to you when you're sober," Rose said. " Whenever that is."

Haymitch's mouth widened and Jack stood there, shocked.

Haymitch turned to Jack. "What did you do to her?"

" It wasn't something I did. She got a really good chance of getting a 9 or higher for her score."

" This. Isn't. Good." Haymitch went to Rose's room leaving Jack out of the picture. He silently walked to his own room and plopped on his bed.

" Hey, Rose," Haymitch knocked on her wall. " You got a high score, didn't you."

Rose began to cry into her pillow, but she stopped for a moment just to nod.

Then Rose knew tomorrow was when the games started.

Rose took a breather and sighed.

" Tomorrow is the day of the games," she sniffled. " When will we find out our scores?"

" Tomorrow morning. Which is why you should get some sleep before the big day." Haymitch patted Rose's back and turned off the light. They said their good nights and both went to bed.
