Maya continued on with her shift until it was over.As she walked out of the entrance she saw Josh and Lucas standing with their backs against the car doors their hands in their pockets and one of the feet was on the car door.Maya tucked her hands in her sweater pockets and planted a smile on her face as she walked up to them.
Maya:you guys really like my parfait huh
Both boys turn a shade a red causing maya to laugh.
Maya:so why are you really here?
Lucas:its the gentlemanly thing to do
Josh:its the kind of person I am..you told me that remember
Maya looks at the ground and gets in the car.
Josh:where to?
Maya:home
When they get their the boys walk her to the door and maya ends up inviting them in."Movie sound cool?"she says as she turns on the light and heads to the kitchen to put away the desserts. "Yea"both boys answer in unison much to their annoyance."Uh what movies you got?"Lucas said as he tried to hide the tension between them."Look under the T.V."maya shouted from the kitchen.As they looked around the shelf the boys noticed a bunch of karaoke equipment. "Hey maya you sure you wanna watch a movie?"Josh yelled hoping she would hear him over the microwave and the blender."What else would we do?"maya said as she walked into the room with the popcorn and soda and sat on the couch."How about we just talk ..you know about the past ?"Lucas stated as he propped himself next to her as did Josh.
Maya:fine who's first?
Josh:remember when you and riley snuck out to the college frat. Party?
Maya:haha oh yeah
Lucas:when did this happen?
Maya:I convinced riley to sneak out to this party all because of a crush I had on Josh
Josh:i believe your words were "its not a crush i know how i feel....i LOVE you Josh "
Maya grabs a cushion and throws it at him.
Maya:yeah and you rejected me with your 3 years younger maya remember that haha
Josh chuckles at first but then his face turns serious:yea...god I was so stupid back then.
Maya:dude..you got into nyu your not stupid
Lucas:hey maya remember when you poured a smoothie on my head?
Josh:she told me about that already
Maya:well i kinda lied to you
Josh:how?
Maya:well-
Shawn bursts through the door and yells HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAYA HUNTER!!!Maya jumps up and hugs him
Maya:thanks dad
Josh and Lucas:its your birthday?!?!
Maya:yeah didn't you remember Lucas?
Lucas:I uh well we he
Maya:its okay i get it I don't know yours so i guess that makes us even.
Lucas walks over to Shawn and surprises everyone when he says"sir I would like your permission to take your daughter out
Shawns eyes burrowed and Lucas notices his mistake
Lucas:I mean not out out I mean nit that I wouldn't but not that I would *sighs deeply*what I mean is do you mind if I take her out to celebrate her birthday
Josh rushes to where Lucas is and quickly asks permission for him to do the same.
Shawn looks back and forth between the three.The boys have nervous scared looks while maya is actually looking hopeful but makes it obvious she cares about her dads answer.Finally he says ok I will allow it which leaves maya smiling and the boys both realize this could affect their outcome.
-The next day-
Farkle:riley are you ok?
Riley:I-I need you to give me some space
Farkle:why?
Riley grabs his hand and pulls him into an empty classroom.
Farkle:what are we doing here?
Riley:do you still love me?
Farkle:i don't know
Riley slowly walked towards him until they were both only centimeters apart.Riley looks into his eyes and whispers I like you Farkle. He moves in closer but he pulls back no you dont...Rileys eyes widen."What do you mean, you don't like me?
Farkle:riley this is because of lucas isnt it?
Riley:I have no idea what your talking about
Farkle:well when you do talk to me im here for you as a friend ...im not a rebound Riley.
He walks out and riley starts to cry.

Lucas:I think you got the wrong idea I invited maya out not you

Josh:dont you have a rodeo to get back to or something?
Lucas:you know i didnt think it was possible but i guess it is
Josh:what are you rambling about?
