REALITY (A Sebaek Fanfiction)

It didn't take long for him to get cornered outside of the school on the way home. Three people had him against the brick wall. A girl, one he recognized as one of Baekhyun's many followers, and of course Taeyong and Jaehyun.

The girl, her name was Kim something or other, got in Sehun's face and stomped on his foot in her high heeled boots. Sehun wanted desperately to push her but he would never touch a girl.

"Who gave you the right to even show your face in front of Baekhyun? You probably fell on purpose just to get attention!" she applied more pressure on is foot.

Sehun bit back the ugly remark he wanted to spit at her and instead gently removed his foot and slid past her, out of the alley.

"Yah!" Taeyong yelled and snagged his backpack, "I don't think we gave you permission to leave yet!" he yanked Sehun down, spilling the contents of his backpack across the ground. The charm that was clipped to the inside of his bag unhooked and bounced across the dirty ally way. It was a small black and red record player that was given to him by his best friend that moved away last year. He treasured it with his life as it was the only thing he had to remember him by. They all laughed as Sehun scrambled on his hands and knees to grab the charm. Just as his fingers had brushed it Jaehyun snatched it up and dangled it in front of his face by the chain.

"What? Is this important to you or something? It's just a dumb charm."

Sehun felt rage bubble up in his chest and he stood, glaring angrily at the boy.

"Omo!" Jaehyun exclaimed sarcastically. "He looks so scary! Is he getting angry?"

Before Sehun knew what he was doing, he had Jaehyun by the arm and twisted his wrist grabbing the charm as he writhed in pain. He had just stuffed it back into his pocket when the first punch came. It was a hard blow to the stomach and Sehun doubled over. the next hit sending him to the ground. They were kicking him hard in the sides and Sehun bit his bloodied lip in pain. Kim landed a high heeled kick to his side and the breath left his body. Were they actually going to kill him this time?

"Yah! Back off!"

The kicking suddenly ceased and Sehun could breathe again. He rolled onto his back and stared up at the sky, tasting blood in his mouth.

"Go! Go before I really hurt you."

Sehun froze at the voice. No way...There was no way...

"Are you okay?" Baekhyun kneeled next to Sehun, his pretty face troubled.

Sehun blushed and tried to sit up quickly but a burning pain shot through his ribs and he settled on propping himself up on his elbows. Baekhyun gathered his things off the ground and repacked his backpack.

"Here I'll help you up," Baekhyun suddenly wrapped his arms carefully around Sehun's waist and helped him stand. Sehun's face was on fire and he jerked away from the other boy's grasp.

"I-I'm fine..." he grabbed the backpack timidly and started out of the ally way, limping slightly.

"Hey," Baekhyun caught up with him, "Let me at least walk you home, you're really hurt I'm sure," he threw his arm over Sehun's shoulder and placed a hand on his waist in an attempt to help him.

Sehun flinched as his touch and pushed his arms away harder than he meant to. "I...I'll go by myself." He began to head in the direction of his house.

Baekhyun smiled brightly and joined him yet again, shoving his hands in his pockets. "I don't know why they would attack you but I'll play bodyguard for a while." Sehun tried to protest again but Baekhyun cut him off with a laugh,

"If you don't let me walk with you I guess I'll just have to follow awkwardly by myself, all aloneeee."

Baekhyun sang the last word and stuck his bottom lip out, blinking his puppy dog eyes cutely. Sehun hid his smile and re-adjusted his glasses.

"O-okay. It's a pretty l-long walk."

"That's okay I've got time." Baekhyun smiled and Sehun's heart skipped a couple of beats.

Why is he being so nice to me? Sehun wondered, I didn't even know he knew my name.

"It's this way,"  Sehun motioned and Baekhyun followed directly next to him as they walked down the road towards his house.
