REALITY (A Sebaek Fanfiction)

Sehun didn't go home.

He wandered the streets, getting looks from other people at his disheveled state. He paused to look at his reflection in the windows of a building. A tall, bloodied lip, bruised cheek, stranger stared back at him.

If you didn't break your own rule, Sehun reminded himself, You wouldn't be feeling this way.

He continued his slow trek down the sidewalk, letting people avoid him, not making any effort to move out of their way. A man with a suitcase in his hands rushed past him and shouldered him hard, sending a line of curse words after it. Sehun stumbled back, paused, and then continued walking.

He found himself at the entrance to the Cafe he had been at earlier in the morning. He feelings already numb, he made his way inside and plopped down at the exact table he had sat at, putting his head down  and resting it there. He shut his eyes and breathed out slowly, letting everything else fade away.
Suddenly a hand on his shoulder made him jump and he smacked his head against someone else's.
"Jumpy today are we?"
Luhan stood over him with a small smile, smoothing a blonde hair out of his face.
Sehun tried to hide his bruised face but Luhan saw and his smile disappeared.

"I was...is that blood?" His facial expression suddenly changed and his tiny hands reached out to touch the bruise on Sehun's lip. He was suddenly reminded of Baekhyun and Sehun jerked away, looking anywhere but Luhan.
"S-sorry, uh, did you come here for coffee?"

Sehun tried to speak but the words stuck like glue in his throat and his eyes began to water.

"Ah!" Luhan waved his hands in a no gesture and tried to backtrack "I-I mean it's okay if you came for tea too I just meant--"

The tears really began to come now and Sehun covered his face with his sleeve,

"Baekhyun h-he..."

Luhan's expression softened and he slid into the booth next to Sehun, shyly rubbing the others back comfortingly.

"I know sorry isn't going to make everything better but...I feel bad that something like that happened to you..."

Sehun wiped at his wet eyes, embarrassed, and stood from the table. "Ah, don't worry about it. I don't know why I came here....I'll see you later."

Sehun's phone was vibrating with text from Baekhyun and he just wanted to go home and get his mind off of things.

Luhan suddenly rushed to the counter and picked up a coffee that was sitting waiting for its customer.

"Just take it," he smiled when Sehun tried to protest, "Text me tonight when you feel better."

Sehun sniffled and took the comforting drink. As he left the cafe he could feel Luhan's eyes on him and the feeling made him uncomfortable...but not necessarily in a bad way.

The sun was already setting by the time Sehun turned onto his street. His coffee was cold and there was only a sip or so left. His usually busy road was almost completely silent as he wandered along the sidewalk where him and Baekhyun had walked days earlier.

Suddenly a yell echoed to his left in the small alleyway that separated the main road from a house. It was cut off quickly and Sehun peeked around the corner curiously.

"Baekhyun just shut up and get in the car!"
Sehun could make out that distinguishable red hair and deep voice of Chanyeol, the boy Baekhyun had been around earlier.
"They just said they wanted to--!"

"They're not going to talk!" Sehun recognized Baekhyun's panicked voice and could see the top of his head sticking out the black car that was parked in ally way. "Chanyeol they're going to kill me!"

Chanyeol sighed loudly and shoved Baekhyun hard back into the car, slamming the door and hoping into he passenger side of the vehicle.

Sehun had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit by the car and his phone reminded him he had unread text messages.

Confused by what he just witnessed, he pulled out his phone and checked the 50+ messages from Baekhyun.
