REALITY (A Sebaek Fanfiction)

Although they tried to keep it quiet, news spread among the students like wildfire.

They're dating? Sehun would hear them whisper in the hallway as him and Baekhyun passed hand in hand,  Sehun is so lucky!

"I think I'm the lucky one here," Baekhyun smiled up at his boyfriend and squeezed his hand.

Sehun pretended to cringe, "Yah, so cheesy."

The two boys laughed as the last bell of the day rang and they filed out with the rest of the students.

"What are we eating tonight?" Baekhyun asked with a yawn, "I feel like your mom thinks I'm her child, she's always cooking."

Sehun chuckled, "Actually my mom is out tonight, it's just going to be us."

Baekhyun crossed his arms over his chest exaggeratedly and tossed his non existent long hair, "You better not try anything Oh Sehun!"

Sehun blushed and swatted at his boyfriend, "Yah!"

Baekhyun avoided it and then linked his fingers back through the other boys, "Maja, maja, I'm kidding."

They talked a little here and there about school and what they would eat for dinner, but Sehun had something on his mind. His mom knew about his feelings for Baekhyun since he started High School, but did Baekhyun's parents even know he existed? Baekhyun had said in the hospital that his parents had been away on a trip for three months and he was alone with Lee Hwa. That was the last thing he had heard about them...was Baekhyun ashamed to be dating--?

"Oh Sehun are you listening to me?"

Sehun nodded his head, but really, he had missed everything the other boy said.

"Don't lie pabo," he playfully punched his boyfriend, "So tonight--?"

Suddenly a car appeared over the hill and  accelerated towards them, coming to a screeching halt almost on the sidewalk.  Sehun clutched Baekyun's arm and pulled him closer to his side. The driver rolled down the window and Baekhyun sighed, seeming to recognize the man in the suit and glasses.

"Choi Jae," he spoke with a hard tone, "What it is it?"

Choi Jae regarded Baekhyun with the same harshness, "Lee Hwa wants you back at the mansion, she says it's urgent."

Baekhyun squeezed Sehun's hand, "Is she hurt?"

"No," Choi said with a shake of his head, "But she wants you right away."

Sehun watched as his boyfriend bit his lip, thinking hard.

"Baekhyun-ah, can I come with you?" he asked and Baekhyun's smile returned.

"Mm, of course! It's probably Lee Hwa wanting to celebrate something. C'mon!"

Nervously, Sehun slid in next to Baekhyun in the back of the nice black car and shut the door, no turning back now.  Choi Jae wasted no time stepping on the gas, the car squealing as it pulled away from the sidewalk. 

Baekhyun had let go of Sehun's hand and was now staring out the window, tapping his fingers on his thigh. He was jumpy about something, Sehun could tell that much. Should he ask him what he was worried about?

Baekhyun turned and caught Sehun staring. He chuckled and re-adjusted the beanie on the other boys head, patting his cheek lovingly.

"I'm just thinking about something Sehunnie-ah, don't make such a troubled expression!"

Sehun forced a smile and patted Baekhyun's thigh, "O-okay."

They pulled into the gates of the estate and Choi Jae drove into the long driveway that led to the front door. Baekhyun took in his surroundings and visibly relaxed.

"It's not them," he to himself, "I don't see their car."

"It's not who?" Sehun asked hesitantly. Baekhyun just smiled and opened the door, stepping out onto the driveway.

"Let's see what this 'urgency' is that Lee Hwa is taking about, hm?" Baekhyun shut the door behind Sehun and they walked up to the front door as Choi Jae pulled away.

Lee Hwa swung open the door before Baekhyun could even get his key out. Her wrinkled face was bright and cheery, and Sehun smiled at the sight of it.

"Baekhyun-ah," she clasped his hands in hers and smiled at Sehun, "I'm glad you brought him, come inside! Hurry!"

Baekhyun shrugged his shoulders at Sehun and they both entered the house hand in hand.
Lee Hwa shut the door behind them and looked them up and down. She cleaned Sehun's glasses, fixed Baekhyun's collar and told both of the boys to leave their backpacks in the hall.

"Lee Hwa," Baekhyun laughed, "What's going on?"

Lee Hwa stepped back and put her hands on her hips, "Guess who came back early?"

Sehun watched as all the color drained from Baekhyun's face and his shoulders drooped. He suddenly looked very scared, very young....very vulnerable."W-what?"

Sehun glanced between Lee Hwa and his boyfriend. What was going on?

Suddenly the doors down the hall opened and a good looking couple stepped through the doors. The woman must have been in her thirties and the man in his early forties. She was wearing an expensive looking beach dress and several diamond accessories. The man adjusted his Rolex watch and took the sunglasses off his face. Their expressions looked cold and emotionless and Sehun felt like they were looking straight into him, pointing out all of his flaws without saying a single word. It was not a very nice feeling.

Baekhyun abruptly let go of Sehun's hand and brushed his boyfriend's worried hand off his shoulder. Sehun frowned at his harshness and disappointment bit at his chest. Why was he suddenly acting like this? Was Sehun not presentable enough for them to be seen together in front of this couple?

Lee Hwa and Baekhyun bowed deeply and Baekhyun took a deep breath, his eyes on the floor.

"Mom." his voice sounded small and weak, "Dad."
