Chapter 22: Never Like Before

3rd person pov.

Five years passed since Shiro's and Roy's birth. But it was also five years since Rogue's death. Every night (y/n) would cry hard. She couldn't sleep anymore like before. When the kids were five year old, she decided to let them with Yukino, and went to an important mission. She had to kill the people who killed Rogue.

She walked to their hiding place and broke the door. She looked at them in a death glare and attacked them one by one giving each a lot of torture before dying. She then was fighting the boss. He was strong. He put her on the floor and kicked her in the stomach. He started cutting her everywhere. When she was about to give up on her life, she remembered Rogue was the reason she was fighting for. She hit him in one attack and killed him.

There was a closed door. From it (y/n) could sense an enormous amount of magic. She opened it slowly and saw corpses.

Here was corpses of hundreds of people. (y/n) could recognize one of them "Rogue...ROGUE!!!!" she ran to the dead body who haven't changed. She was crying. But then, something stopped her from getting closer.

"What is it...it's so powerful...i can't get close..." she said.
"If you touch him, he'll live again. But at a price." said a voice.
"What...?"
"If you can pass that magic shield, and have to courage of dying, then he'll be revived."
"R-really?"
"Yes"

She didn't wait any second. She walked to the table where Rogue's corpse was and didn't feel any magic blocking her. Her desire of having him back was too powerful. When she was about to touch him the voice said:

"If you touch him you'll die in 3 days."
"I don't need to think twice." she said and touched Rogue. At that moment, she felt a huge headache. When she calmed down, she saw with her own eyes, Rogue hugging her. She kissed him deeply and passionately as crying tears od joy.
