Chapter 24: Death

(y/n)'s pov.

I still had two days. Today and tomorrow. Today we decided to go to the beach. There, Rogue started playing in the water with the kids. He helped them to do a sand castle. I wish I could live...I wanna see them growing up...I want to be by Rogue's side forever...I want to share their happiness...

"(y/n)? Are you ok?" asked Rogue. He realised I was crying. I whiped my tears away.
"Yes I'm ok...it's just...seeing you there...playing with the kids...it makes me so happy..." I tried to lie and faked a smile. He smiled back. He kissed my lips passionately. I kissed back with the same passion. Then the kids came.
"Mommy!!! Come to see our sand castle!!!" they said together. I walked with them to see their sand castle. But Shiro tripped and felt on it, destroying it.
"Are you ok Shiro?" I ran to her to help her getting up. She was crying.
"I destroyed the castle!!" she said crying.
"It's ok Shiro!! We can do another one!!" said Roy. I smiled seeing they were getting along. I walked back to Rogue while the kids did another sand castle. Rogue was laying on his towel. I laid on top of him hugging him. I wanted to cry but I didn't.

"(y/n)...what's wrong? Are you ok? Because you don't seem so..." he said.
"Yes I'm ok...it's just I still can't believe you're back..."

After a while we went back home. Rogue helped me to shower the kids. Then we both showered together. I missed that feeling. When the kids went sleeping, Rogue and I had a amusing night (if you know what i mean)

It was 6:00 am of my last day. I got up to the kitchen and prepared breakfast. The kids hugged my legs when they got up. They surprised me. I turned and hugged each one of them really thight. I turned back to continue breakfast, when someone hugged me from begind.
"Good morning sweety." It was Rogue.
"Morning Rogue." I said smiling.

The whole day we had fun as a family.  Rogue asked Yukino if she could guard the kids this night cause he wanted to do something.

It was almost midnight...almost the time...Rogue looked at me. He stared into my eyes.
"(y/n)...I've always wanted to do that...but I hadn't the time...now's the best moment to ask you..."

He got on one knew, took a small box and asked me "(y/n)...will you marry me?" he opened the box revealing a fantastic ring. He put it on my finger and we both kissed passionately. There was still 10 seconds before I die.

I told him "I wish I could..." and at that moment, I felt my soul leaving me. My body couldn't stand anymore. I felt on the floor...dead...
