Chapter 11

I sat quietly on the queen sized bed. Mom and Dad left a few minutes ago and Dylan was out with Jackson somewhere. The alone time was a great breather from the small crowded room any other time.

I tapped away on my phone, just scrolling through Instagram when a text popped up.

From: Noahhh😜
Hey bestie! Abbi is driving down to visit a friend. Want me to visit? I miss you!!

To: Noahhh😜
Lol. Yeah I want you to visit! I miss you and abbi-lou! You might even get to see preliminary rounds and regionals!

I smiled to myself. Noah was one of my all time best friends, along with Abbi and the two together makes it so much more fun! But secretly Noah is my favorite. Abbi is a girly girl a lot of the time whereas, me and Noah could play video games all day if our parents let us.

It could also be that Abbi is also almost four years older than us too. But that's okay. Having Abbi just means I have an older sister figure in my life which I love!

I set my phone down and went over to the closet to grab my costumes. I quickly pulled on the one for preliminaries and posed in the full length mirror.

The white and blue silky fabric floated around me as I twirled once and settled against my sunkissed legs. The blue sparkles glimmered in the hotel light and made my carribean blue eyes pop and stand out from the rest of my face. I grinned and ran a hand through my thick, midnight black hair and curled it around my fingertip before dropping my hand to my side and posing in the mirror.

Snap! My phone shuttered as it processed the photo. I stared at the photo for a moment before quickly opening the Instagram app and writing a caption under it.

"I fell in love the day I stepped onto the ice❤ 3 days until preliminary rounds!😊"

I cropped the photo and hit post. I pulled the zipper down my side and stepped out of the silky and sparkle covered material, and pulled on my T-shirt from a concert Abbi and I went to three years ago. I put the costume back on the hanger and carefully put it back in the closet. I reached down to the bottom drawer and pulled out a pair of black yoga pants.

I shut the closet door only to be faced by an upset Jackson and a very smug, yet angry Dylan.

Oh no..

Oooohhhhhh cliff hanger!!!!!! Bit one of her skate costumes was revealed! Ahhh next chapter is gonna be intense!!  Oh! And new characters😏 comment your thoughts on Abbi and Noah!!

I have a few days, maybe even weeks to update because of the flooding in Louisiana. So please keep my family and the rest of the state in your prayers right now. Lots of places underwater and just found out that our district and one other was the worst hits...
