My breathing sped up as the text glowed brightly at my face. Mom and dad had just left with Dylan, and Jackson left shortly after. There was no way that someone would catch a kidnapper trying to steal me of someone barged into the room!
I just don't understand. Who wants that money so bad? Bad enough to the point that they took the diamond set that Blake had left me. This is so stupid, yet obviously planned out.
I sighed and tried to calm my ragged breathing. On insticet I dialed the number that I knew would answer no matter the time.
"Hello?" Noah's soft sleepy voice rang through the speaker and I felt guilty. It was later there than it was here.
"Hey." My voice trembled before a warm tear slipped down my face. I honestly don't know why I'm even crying. Maybe the fear, or just all the emotions coursing through me today. Or the fact that I just needed my best friend.
"Whoah! What's up? Why are you crying?" He was instantly aware of why I had called him at this time and woke him up.
"I need you to come home now. This person is ruining my life, and is threatening me. Mom, dad and I are staying in a hotel and Dylan is in a detention center for abusing me. And now theres this guy, and I like him, but I'm scared. Noah I need you back. I'm scared for preliminaries, because these threats are getting more real by the day. And its all to much. I just really need you back." I cried. I didn't know if he understood that, but I'm sure he did. After all, we'd been friends since before we could talk. So we both learned to understand the others jumbled up blabber.
He sighed. "Kyra.. I honestly have no idea what to do. I mean, I'll be there tomorrow night, so as soon as I get there, I'll come to you. As for the Dylan thing, he's gone for now, he won't hurt you. The guy you like, let's just see where it goes, but I want to meet him first. I don't trust anyone with you because that's my job since Blake left. Abbi can help you with the other guy stuff. But get some sleep, I will see you tomorrow and we can talk as long as we need to. Okay?" His words were soft and soothing. This was the reason I called him. He always listened to me.
"Okay.. I'm sorry for waking you up." I said quietly.
"Its okay, I promise. I'll see you soon. Goodnight Kyra." I could hear the smile in his voice as he spoke.
"Goodnight Noah." I sighed sleepily as I ended the call and snuggled deeper into the covers. It was only 5:30, but I didn't care. I drifted off into a quiet and peaceful slumber.
