Elsa's POV
When we reached the library, I felt something that I never thought I would ever feel, cold. There was this machine that was producing cold air, Aidan said it was an air conditioner. Which I really didn't feel like myself, I was never cold!
I held the book even tighter, I still managed to freeze it. Just a power test. I really wonder what's going on with the rest right now. Did they manage to find Jack yet? I can't stop worrying about him.
"Hey, check it out!" Eugene said, grabbing a book from a shelf. "Rapunzel."
"Oh wow! I am in a book! Kinda forgot about that." Rapunzel exclaimed. "I gotta read this, it'll be like reading my life story!"
"I... Wouldn't say that so soon." Aidan chuckled.
"Why?" Eugene and Rapunzel asked at the same time.
"It's kind of a different version. You're not a princess in this book. Nor do you have magical powers." Aidan replied.
"Does this mean that there's a different version of me?" I asked with interest.
"Yup, just gotta look around. It's called The Snow Queen." Aidan nodded.
North's POV
I am rather curious to find out how this book is gonna be activated. And once it's done, will we be needing to face more challenges? If so, then I wished we brought the rest here too, we need all the help we can get. I hope they're doing well with their quest to find Jack, who knows where that kid wandered off to!
"Mate, is it just me or do you sense something?" Bunny suddenly asked.
"Sense what?" I asked. Sandy formed a question mark.
"I don't know, maybe it's just me." Bunny shrugged.
"What do you sense?" Tooth asked.
"Like... Someone. Someone is here... Watching us." Bunny gulped.
I looked around but the library was quite empty.
"Maybe it's an effect of reality catching up on us." I suggested.
"I think it's faster then we think. This morning, I couldn't feel my wings! I panicked like never before." Tooth said.
"Well, we're here, as soon as we activate the book, we'll be our normal selves again." I said.
"Yeah right, there's no way it's gonna be that easy." Bunny crossed his arms. "It already takes that much trouble to get home, getting back our powers should be the same."
"We are all mentally prepared for the worst." Tooth sighed.
Aidan clapped his hands together, getting our attention. "All right, this is the exact spot where you activate the book. Now, who has it?"
"Elsa has it. Elsa?" Olaf looked around.
"I suppose she went looking around for her book, wait here. I'll go look for Rapunzel and Eugene as well." Aidan said.
Pitch's POV
After who knows how many hours of torture with Jack, he finally passed out, again. Jack, you sure are very reluctant to tell me where the rest of the Guardians are. You're willing to endure such pain to keep them safe. Oh well, that was your choice. I unleashed all of my anger on him, he was the main reason I failed. I had to fight off the urge to kill him once and for all. I will kill him, just not yet, I'm not satisfied enough. Patience Pitch, patience.
Just then, one of my darklings emerged. "What is it?" I asked. "Have you found the rest of them?"
It nodded harder then ever before. My eyes widen and a smile came to my face. "Excellent, bring me to them!" I commanded.
I was brought to the school library. That's odd, I'm sure the Guardians should know I'm here by now, why would they be exposing themselves so obviously?
I morphed into nightmare sand and popped out right behind them. They didn't notice me at all, silly idiots.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" I asked. They jerked their heads towards me and I could see the immediate fear on their faces.
Rapunzel's POV
"Rapunzel, Eugene! There you guys are." We turned around and saw Aidan. "Come on, we want to activate the book already."
"Oh! Sorry, I hope we didn't hold you back too long." I said and quickly shut my book. I never knew there was this perspective about Rapunzel. Her life was like mine, locked in a tower, by an evil woman. I felt sorry for her parents, having to give up their child like that. It was worse than mine, her parents could watch her grow up, painfully without being able to be with her. And all because of a vegetable?!
"Let's get going then!" Eugene said.
"Hold on, we need to find Elsa as as well, she's the one with the book." Aidan stopped him.
"Sure, I think I saw her at the opposite idle?" Eugene pointed.
We quickly made our way there and found Elsa. "Elsa, there you are! Come on, we gotta go." I said.
Elsa was so concentrated on her book and she didn't notice me until I tapped on her shoulder. "Huh?" Elsa looked at me.
"We need to get going." I replied.
"Oh, right, of course. I can't believe who I am in this book! I cursed a child!" Elsa exclaimed.
Aidan led the way back. But when we got there, the rest were no where to be found.
"Where did they go?" I asked. "Olaf? North?"
"What's black sand doing in a library?" Elsa crouched down, looking at the floor.
"Black sand?" Eugene asked.
"Black sand! Elsa, don't touch it!" Aidan gasped, all the colour drained from his face. I had never seen anyone so pale before.
"What? What about it?" I asked, bracing myself for the worst.
"The leader of The Nightmares, his name is Pitch Black, his powers are black coloured sand, it sends nightmares to whoever who comes in contact with it!" Aidan replied. "He...Was... Here... He took them!"
"Oh no... We, we gotta find them quick! Any ideas?!" Elsa asked, panicked.
"It's not safe for you here right now, you need to go!" Aidan commanded.
"But Aidan, we need to find them-"
"If Pitch finds you as well, more lives will be in danger. I can't let the situation get anymore serious!" Aidan cut in Eugene's words. "Go back to Tiana, tell the rest what happened. I need to tell my friends too."
"And what if our magic wears of completely by then?!" I protested. "We need to find them right now."
"I understand but now it's just the three of you left, you can't do much!" Aidan fired back. "Please... Go back. Stay safe and stay strong. We'll meet later."
"Come," Eugene held my hand. "Let's go regroup."
