Ginny's POV
Ah... Finally! The weekend...
I smiled at this as we left the classroom. We had just finished our transfiguration class. It was Friday afternoon, and we didn't have much to do, (that is, of course excluding homework- we can do that tommorow, maybe) so we decided to go to the Black Lake, again, on Percy's insistence, him being a son of Poseidon and all. I was still trying to get over that- the Greek gods were real, and our new friends were demigods. Not to mention what they'd all been through. I mean, I thought we were hard done by! I'm rambling, aren't I? Whoops. As we walk to the lake, I shiver and pull my cloak tighter around my body. Harry notices this, so he pulls his hoody out of his bag and puts it over my shoulders. Gratefully, I smile at him, taking his hand in mine.
When we get there, we all sit down under the tree. Well, apart from Percy, who puts his bag down and goes into the lake. I shake my head at him, with a little smile. Seriously, it feels freezing above the water, what'll it be like in the water? Harry puts his arm over my shoulder, so I snuggle up to him, which also helps me keep warmer.
"So, what do we do now?" Neville asks, a little awkwardly as we sit here in silence.
"We try not to freeze to death," Reyna replies, smiling a bit. "Seriously, it's late October. It was a bad idea to come in this weather," she adds.
"Yeah, but Kelp Head insisted," Thalia says, smiling.
A few minutes later, Percy comes out of the lake, dry, with a frown plastered on his face.
"What's wrong, Seaweed Brain?" Annabeth asks, noticing his unhappy expression.
"The squid here is really snobby and rude," he replies. "I only wanted to make friendly conversation but apparently it didn't like that," he adds, sitting down next to her and putting an arm around her waist. She rests her head on his shoulder, a few ringlets of her golden hair falling over her face.
"It's freezing cold out here, can we please go inside? We could go to the kitchen, or the library or something, instead of the common room, if you want," Calypso asks, shivering.
"Here, this should stop you from being cold, Sunshine. The Bad Boy Supreme will warm you up!" Leo exclaims, ginning like a maniac, as he sets himself on fire. "Before you say anything, guys, these clothes aren't going to burn up, they're fireproof, thanks to Sunshine here," he adds, gesturing to Calypso.
"Actually, Repair Boy, I was going to say that you should not set yourself on fire, you know, when ANYONE COULD SEE YOU!" Piper exclaims.
"Sorry, I forgot that I can't let my totally awesome Super Sized Mcshizzle powers be seen by almost everyone here," he says, as he puts out the fire.
"Yeah, yeah. C'mon, we should get back, I'm freezing," I say, shivering. We stand up and start to walk back to the castle. A cold wind blows in my face, making me shiver even more.
Halfway back to the castle, we are stopped by pug face, AKA Pansy Parkinson. Malfoy was there too, along with a few others, but he was standing further back, looking uncomfortable and staring at the ground.
"Hey losers! Where're you heading?" She asks. I purse my lips and try not to respond.
"Why would it bother you? It's not your business, it's ours," Reyna says, glaring at her.
"Tell me, you idiots!" She exclaims angrily.
"Pansy. Stop bothering them, they haven't done anything wrong!" Draco says, standing up for us. Wait... What? Why is Draco Malfoy standing up for us? I thought that he hates us...
"Be quiet Draco. I thoughts you hate them too. Isn't that right? Now, you stupid Gryffindors, tell me where you are going!" She says, shouting the last part.
"We're just going back into the castle, not that it had anything to do with you," Piper answers.
"Well, anyway. What've you bee doing lately? Being 'brave'?" She says, making quotation marks with her fingers. Her voice oozes sarcasm.
"Braver than you," I say. "We actually fought for what was right in the war,"
"Well... They didn't! While we were all here, fighting against the deatheaters and Voldemort, saving the entire wizarding they were over in America doing absolutely nothing!" She exclaims. She did not just say that about my friends. If only she knew what they had been through.
"We've been through more than you could ever imagine, so I suggest that you shut your mouth otherwise you'll have a black eye," Annabeth says, in a deadly calm voice.
"Sure you have, you were just sitting around in America doing nothing," she said, glaring. Annabeth surged forward, but Percy grabbed hold of her.
"Pansy, I seem to recall you suggesting that we hand Harry over to Voldemort," Hermione says as Percy an Thalia hold back Annabeth, who had a murderous glint in her stormy grey eyes.
"Go away, Pansy. Leave!" Piper says. I think she was charmspeaking, because she immediately left, as did the rest of them, except Draco. OK, seriously. What's with him and his sudden change of attitude? He approached us slowly, with an apologetic look in his eyes.
"What so you want, Malfoy?" Ron asks with a rude tone in his voice.
"I... Um... I wanted to say that I'm- erm... I'm sorry for how I treated you guys. I just... I realise now, that I may have been a bit, well, rude. I hope you can forgive me," He says, with a sad look in his eyes. "I understand if you can't, but, I wanted to make things right between us, so we could be on good terms."
"Um... Yeah. OK. I forgive you," Harry says. We nod in agreement.
"Good, so we can be friends. Sorry about Pansy by the way," he says, smiling a bit. "Oh, I'm Draco Malfoy, by the way," he says, greeting the exchange students. They smile and introduce themselves.
After that, we talk as we walk back into the castle before parting ways. Well, I did not expect that...
