*Doubts of something being wrong enter your mind. Regret of being a handler enter as well. The image of Jay at the hospital a few weeks back still haunts you as well. Her in fear. Panicking of what to do...but...all goes silent. As now all has changed. She rides as she did before tbe accident. Before the defeat. She triumphed. Coming back from that...she still has improved. She told you the day she rode the grand prix freestyle that she could feel that her eyes were getting stronger. Who knows maybe we will get lucky...and it will just be short time blind sight. You stand up from sitting down on a bench taking a deep breath in and out. Rushing back to Rufio just before to get him ready for the award ceremony. Uncertain of the actual results. Last you knew Rufio was in lead...but Lots could change. The Judges always go over schools and watch the clips and then the final results will be heard. You slide the leadrope over Rufio and get him all cleaned up. Wrapping white leg wraps on his legs for show. Gently sliding his white saddle pad onto his neck than sliding it back into place setting the saddle over it and putting the girth in place. Barely getting it tight just so you dont makee Rufio girtht. You put on his bridle so you can warm him up yourself...30 minutes later Jay shows up and hops on Rufio. The award ceremony was starting. "Entering now is the Dressage Top 3. Can Jay Shadow and Rufio, Clover Heartz and Show Off, and Blue Volt and 4 beatz down Please enter the arena." Jay gives a huge smile...now we know she got in top 3. Now which one did we get. You walk Jay to the arena and then let her go inside. She smiles. The judges set up the riders side by side. Going third to first. "Third place is Clover Heartz and Show Off. Second place is Blue Volt and 4 beats down. And firsssttt is the one and only Jay Shadow and Rufio!!!" All of a sudden Jay starts pouring out in tears. She gets soo emotional but has a huge smile on her face. She gets handed the trophy as they put a blue neck ribbon around her horses neck. She hands back the trophy and the riders take a victory lap and Jay takes 2. Coming back to you she smiles and lsughs alot. The judges hand you the trophy as you walk with Jay back to the stalls. You cant wait to go back home and present USA with ANOTHER Gold!
