Kellin's POV
"Hi I'm Vic. Vic Fuentes" he said as he introduced himself to me.
He was absolutely fucking gorgeous. He was a tiny, short, cute Mexican with shoulder length brown locks. Brown tanned skin, and beautiful chocolate eyes.
I realised I was staring and quickly looked down and saw his hand come towards me. I started to panic.
Oh my god he's going to hit me.
Instinctively I flinched away from his touch and looked up at him.
He looked confused at him and I realised that all he wanted to do was shake my hand so I took mine in his extremely quickly, not wanting to be touched for too long.
That's something about me. I absolutely hate being touched. I didn't used to. It only started when my mother started to beat me at age 9. I'm 17 now. That's 8 years of no family, no friends and constant beatings.
"Hi, Kellin Quinn"
I internally slapped myself for being so awkward and quiet. Like why can't you just stop being so anxious.
Then he did something I really didn't expect.
"Would you like to come and have lunch with me and my friends?"
I was so confused.
Why would he want to have lunch with me? Out of everyone here?
Maybe Brad put him up to this. Maybe it's a trick. I started to panic. But as if Vic sensed it he explained.
"Please? You seem like a really nice person and I want to get to know you"
I looked at his face and there was a genuine smile.
"Ok sure" I replied giving him a small smile.
Of course it wasn't a real smile. I haven't properly smiled or been happy since I was about 8. Before my dad left. Before my mother turned into an abusive alcoholic. I just fake a smile and go on with my day like everything's okay.
You see when people ask you how you are, they don't really care. They just want you to say "I'm good thanks" and leave it at that. And that's what I do. I would never let my secrets spill because I know for sure that my mother would kill me.
Put on a brave face and say everything's alright.
Now I just have to wait until lunch and see if Vic actually wants to spend time with me or if this was just one massive set up.
