Chapter 7

Joe's PoV

A week had passed since the incident at the get together. I hadn't contacted anyone. I knew that I needed to apologise to so many people but I had a troubling feeling at the bottom of my stomach and it wouldn't go away.

I scrolled through the contacts on my phone and stopped at Caspar. I started to call him.
"what the fuck do you want?" Caspar growled.
"I'm sorry Casp. I don't know what came over me last week. you're my bestfriend and I hurt you and I am so fucking sorry. I don't want to lose you casp" I said softly. He sighed.
"fans have been asking me all week why I had bruises all over me" he replied.
"and what did you tell them?"
"I told them that I had fallen in a club and bumped my face and it was nothing to worry about"
"Thankyou. I'm so sorry Caspar. I really am."
"it's alright bro.. I was hoping you'd ring me soon, I really want to film a collab with you"
"I'll be over later. see you bro"
"bye buddy"

I hung up the phone, grinning to myself. Everything was going to be alright between us.

"JOEEEEE!!!!!!!" Emily screamed.
"Emily? are you okay??" I panicked, rushing upstairs. "where are you?"
"in the bathroom" Emily said.
"can I come in?" I asked.
"yeah.." she said then I heard her sobbing. I opened the door and saw her on the floor crying. I rushed over and wrapped my arm around her.
"what's wrong?" I asked.
"my- I'm- I'm on my period" she sobbed.
"so? what's the big deal?"
"don't you get it?? I'm supposed to be pregnant!" she sobbed louder. that's when I realised what she meant...
"so.. you've had a.." I found it hard to say the word. "...miscarriage?" I muttered.
"well if I've got my period then.."
"do a test!" I said.
"alright.."

she took the test and a few minutes later, we had the response.

"not pregnant" she mumbled. Tears dribbled down her face and she leapt into my arms, wiping her face on my shoulder.
"em.. it's ok.. we will try again after you're not on.." I said. She looked up at me with her big blue eyes and smiled.
"I look forward to it" she giggled. I laughed.
"stop giggling.. it.. turns me on"
"Jesus Joe! you can't get aroused that easily!!"
"look what you did to me" I sighed, looking down to my crotch. She grinned and grabbed my hand, tugging me out of the bathroom.
"no way am I fucking you when you're on your period" I said.
"use a condom, you have plenty" she laughed. she dragged me into our room and pushed me onto the bed...
