While on our way to route 109, Danny and I were lounging around, enjoying the breeze. We were about halfway to our destination when both of our stomach made such a growl, that Eve, who was sleeping soundly to my far left, snapped awake at the sound.
"I honestly didn't realize I was this hungry!" Danny laughed wholeheartedly. "If I would've known I would be this hungry, I would've packed more snacks!"
She bent down in search of something. I guess she couldn't find what she was looking for because she got up and started frantically moving chair, the small table, and our Pokemon, who were looking at us with some interest.
Danny made a shout-like cry and sat back down with her head in her hands.
                              "I can't find it!"
I turned to look at her in confusion. "What exactly are you looking for?"
"My backpack, it's gone missing! I thought I had it with me when we boarded the ship!"
"Well, the last I remember you having it was back in that cave."
We looked at each other before scrambling out of our seats to Mr. Briney, begging him to turn around.
We sail as fast as the little boat can go back to Dewford. Once we got to the island, Danny didn't even pay any mind to Nicki and took off running. I grabbed our stuff and headed to the Pokemon Center to heal our Pokemon before heading back to the cave to help search for the elusive backpack.
I had given Nurse Joy our Pokemon when my PokeNav went off. Professor Birch had sent me a message.
                              "Ella,
Congratulations on catching another Eevee and successfully evolving it. I know you aren't anywhere near a region where Eevees live so I'm sending you one as a congratulations present. It is Level 19 and knows Tackle, Sand Attack, Roll-out, and Mud-Slap. It is a female, also. I hope you are successful in bringing out this Pokemon's abilities and show me you are capable of the sort of task you've been assigned!
- Professor Birch."
I went and looked in the PSS and as Professor Birch said, there was an Eevee. I transferred it to my team, healed it for good measure, and walked over to an area where I could let out my team.
"Come on out, Eve, Blade! Let's meet our new friend!"
I released my two primary Pokemon before informing them of what had happened. Once we were ready, I let out my new teammate.
"Eevee!" It cried it's name when released. It was in an attacking position but when it saw my other Eevee and its evolutions, it's sat down.
"Hey, Eevee! It's nice to meet you. I hope you'll be happy and have fun on my team!"
It pranced around a little before coming over to me and climbing on top of my head. At that point in time, I was smiling like a fool and Eve and Blade looked annoyed.
I put Eve and Blade back into their Pokeballs in order to spend time with my new companion and to go to the Pokemart to purchase a few Potions.
