Why are men so hard to understand? I know everyone says that men don't understand women but I find men just as confusing. One day they're so in love with you and the next they're cold and distant. I think back to the last time I saw Cory and I wonder if there was anything I did to upset him. Of course, my first thought is to wonder what I did wrong? Why is that? Why do I always think I'm to blame for the problems in my relationships? I did the same thing in my relationship with Mark, when the real problem was the fact that Mark was cheating on me.

For the life of me, I don't know what's going on with Cory. Was it all an illusion? Why is he avoiding me? Relationship drama makes me crazy. I need to go see him and get to the bottom of what is happening between us.

I hate that Cory is all I can think about as I ride down a float in the Disneyland parade. The crowd is excited and throwing gifts onto the float. I wave and smile, trying to hide the emotional turmoil brewing underneath. Maybe Cory is too much of a bad boy for me after all?

After the parade, we're taken to a press event where reporters throw questions at me, including the status of my relationship with Cory. I tell them that I care deeply for him, which is the truth.

"Are there wedding bells in the future?" one reporter asks.

I laugh out loud. "We just started dating. Let's not move that fast." The room of reporters chuckle in agreement.

"Is there any truth to you considering Stars on Ice instead of training for another Olympics?"

"Where did you hear that?"

"Is it true?"

"I haven't made any decisions past Worlds next month."

"We noticed you injured your leg at the Olympics. How is it doing? Do you feel it will be healed in time for the World Championships or should you give your spot to someone else?"

I glance at my mom who shakes her head. "I feel my hip will be fine."

"We also hear your Russian competitor Anna Vitali is looking forward to a rematch."

"As am I."

Thankfully, the questions wrap up. A photographer takes some stills with me and Mickey Mouse and the rest of the Disney characters, and my mom and I are soon allowed to head home from the event.

"I made an appointment with your doctor so he can evaluate your hip. We can fit him in today after all."

"I'm really not in the mood for more bad news today."

"More bad news? What other bad news did you get? I haven't heard anything from Sharon or your agent."

"Oh nothing. I'm just a bit a confused by Cory at the moment."

"What relationship isn't confusing?"

"That's not helping mom."

"I'm sorry. I thought everything was great between you two."

"What do you think about me flying to Colorado?"

She takes in a deep breath and lets it out slowly.

"What? Why are you reacting like that?" I ask her.

"Reacting like what?"

"Like you don't approve of my relationship with Cory? You can't still think he's a bad influence on me? He's nothing like when we first met."

"Now wait and hear me out. I just think that you have a lot going on, with all of the publicity events and offers and your hip. Not to mention, you have Worlds coming up. How are you going to train while you're in Colorado?"
