Chapter 1

The unknown shuttle crashed into the ground forcing panic and adrenaline to the poor civilians around. Starfleet members and officers push their way through the screaming and the yelling towards the broken spaceship. It was small. Smaller than they expected. It looked more like an escape shuttle than one that carries cargo.

"Sir!" the man saluted while taking a quick glance at the shuttle with caution "Permission to open up the ship." He stood still waiting for an answer

"Permission granted." Came the gruff reply as the commander nodded

With permission, they start to crack open the glass cautiously as if one wrong move will blow up the entire planet. The entrance of the shuttle gave out easily but to their dismay, the inside of the ship was an entire block of ice. It was like someone had put water into shuttle then iced it up like water in ice cube trays.

"Sir! Sir! You should see this!!" the same soldier yelled catching the commander's attention

The commander came hurrying over and what he saw inside the ice block gave him chills. There was a girl, around her twenties to be exact. She was lying on the chair, eyes closed. The mysterious girl had a simple dark blue T-shirt and dark fitting pants, she had fierce red hair that reaches past her shoulders and across her arms and legs were silver markings, attached to her hips was a black whip, her lips were pale blue and her skin was so pale that it would put snow to shame.

"Dismantle the ship!" he ordered urgently "Captain Pike would need to see this." He muttered

Taking one last look at the female inside the ship and walked away from the scene and continuously giving out orders, he had noticed that the sign of Ailo's spaceship brand was on the side of the ship.

Everyone was devastated at the news that planet Ailouroeidís was destroyed just like what had happened with Kirk's father's spaceship, the same culprit. None of the Ailo species was left, the Ailouroeidís had been noted down as extinct when there was no survivors, heck, there was none of the planet left by the time Starfleet had got there.

What the commander didn't see was that little movement of the female's eyelids, time is running out, they have to hurry up and melt the ice or they will never be able to get the valuable information they need.

"What did you want to show me?" Captain Pike asked as they both walked towards the autopsy room

"We found a spaceship from Ailo crash-landed on the outskirt of the city."

"Ailo?! I thought they became extinct 7 years ago!" Captain Pike frowned with sadness, Pike himself had liked the planet with its warm weather and tropical environment, he was pretty close with one of the royal guards.

"Exactly, but when we found it, something wasn't right so I ordered the others to open it up we found a block of ice..." the commander trailed off

"Go on! What else did you find?" The Captain urged impatiently

"It's better if you see it yourself, Captain." The commander stated and push open the double door.

Pike was taken back at what he saw, there were a few Starfleet members burning the ice block so they can melt it, it was half melted and the face of the girl was more visible, her lips are blue and purple and her skin was starting to turn red from the exposed air but her face still remained deathly pale.

"Have you locate her identity?" Pike asked as he stared at the girl

"No, we still don't know who she is, she is not Ailo for sure, Ailo species have the feline ears including the tail but she doesn't. We suspected that she might be one of the members from that culprit who destroyed the planet. As there are markings on her body, it looks a bit different from those attackers," The commander stopped to catch his breath before continuing, "She might have gotten caught in the chaos and didn't have enough time to board her ship so she had to take the space shuttle. She probably got caught in the blast and was knocked unconscious and accidentally activated the Ailo hibernation control system." He concluded

"I have been wondering for years but do you think that the Ailos we-"

"SIR!" a yell caught their attention interrupting Pine

They both walked forward next to the table, the other members started rushing around and grabbing supplies from the shelves and attaching needles to the girl, the ice had melted and now it was just the girl herself lying there.

"What is the problem?"

"There's no problem sir, but she...she," The female Starfleet member stuttered through her mask that was now wet from the ice.

"Spit it out," Captain Pike ordered, running out of patience.

"She is alive sir, we just detected a pulse, it's very shallow but it's there," The girl pulled down her mask, breathed out before looking back at the unconscious female.

"How is that possible?!" the general claimed

"It isn't impossible sir, it's just rare sir. It was said that a long time ago, there was a man that actually had been in the ice for 70 years and he was just asleep the whole time, the man survived and became a well-known hero to the earth world," She explained as she glanced at the female on the table.

"What's her status?" Captain Pike cut in while sparing the unconscious girl a glance

"Her body temperature is too low, we need to bring her to the heat room and she is malnourished as expected since we estimate the time that she had been iced was about 7 years ago. Other than that, she is perfectly fine sir. She might take a while to wake up and would be weak as she has not moved for a long time."

"So in conclusion, she would wake up and be perfectly normal after time?" The Captain asked

"Yes sir," the girl nodded before returning to her duty

Captain Pike sighed in bewilderment as he took in the information and watch as the team wheeled the mysterious female out of the room and disappeared through the double doors. He had a feeling that this case will take a while to figure out.

"I'll take the case from here, I appreciate your effort and time." Captain Pike turned towards the general

The commander saluted then walked out the door, Captain Pike watch him leave before looking back at the mess. The floor was flooded with cold ass water and some materials here and there. He spotted a cloth lying on the floor, there was an emblem on it. Taking a look has forced him to intake a sharp breath. It was the emblem of royalty in Ailouroeidís, holding the cloth tight in his hands he looked back at the door.
