Andres POV
I turned to face Aaliyah then looked over and saw a guy sitting next to her.

I smiled at her and pulled her into a hug then said "Aaliyah! Babe! Hi I missed you" then held onto her hand

"I missed you toooo"

Aaliyah and I got to see each other this summer despite her parents. She told me that when she told her parents about us they wanted to meet me, which they did then they allowed us to see each other 3 times a month.

I nodded my head toward the guy sitting next to Aaliyah then looked back at her "who's that"

She let go of me then turned around grabbing the guys arm and jokingly said "This is my side chick Gio...kiddingggg this is my bestfriend"

Gios POV
"This is my side chick Gio" I heard her say to Andre

I looked down at her giving her the "tf you say? Who are you" face 

He went to shake my hand. I shook it back obviously but it was awkward meeting him so I just didn't say anything.

They continued talking for about 5 minutes about I don't even know what I wasn't listening but she did occasionally look back at me.

Eventually she said "Okay well I'm gonna get going I'll see you later okay?" Then they gave each other a goodbye kiss and Aaliyah grabbed my hand to help me up and we started walking toward the building entrance to go to our lockers.

As we were walking I looked at Aaliyah and said "oh you wouldn't be third wheeling, I'll need someone to talk to" in her voice trying to mock her

She looked at me surprised before saying "I don't sound like that!!! And you weren't a third wheel you just didn't make the effort to talk!"

"Well I had nothing to say it was awkward"

"Yeah I guess I see what you mean but you'll just have to be around him more and it won't be awkward. I'll plan something."

"You can try oh and if anything I'm always the main course"

She just looked at me with her regular "you thought" face

Aaliyah's POV
Gio and I walked to our lockers which were only 3 lockers down from each other.

I got an idea and slammed my locker closed after I got what I would need for first period

"I know! Friday after school we should go out to the carnival with Cassie Jenelle Devonte Brandon and Logan and I'll invite Andre. That way all our friends will be there so no one will feel awkward."

"You know Logan has a problem with Andre"

"Yeah I know but that was 2 years ago, Andre changed he's different now and I'm sure Logan got over it"

Gio thought about it for a second and surrendered "Fine I'll go but you owe me"

I hugged him quickly saying "Thank you thank you thank you, will you help me convince the others to go pleaseeeee"
