Gios POV

For almost the entire ride, I was debating weather or not I wanted to tell Aaliyah how I felt. After that conversation with Mikey a part of me didn't want to tell her. There was a long silence in the car while driving. Aaliyah turned to me and asked me "Is everything okay? You're never quiet for this long."

"Yeah everything's fine I'm just thinking of some things right now." I said trying my best to reassure her

"Some things that I should be worried about?"

"No don't worry about it."

I tightly grip the wheel and stare ahead at the road in front of me. With my foot resting firmly on the gas I start going over the speed limit . I feel Aaliyah's gentle, warm hand rest on my arm and she calmly says "Gio slow down"

I ignore her continuing he to speed up. Once again she says "Gio slow down." except with more power in her voice voice this.

I ignore her again running a red light. I look at the street intersecting with ours ahead of us and see another car coming toward where I'm is about to drive past. As we approach the intersection, before the cars can collide into each other Aaliyah yells my name and grabs my right hand in attempt to calm me down. At the last minute, I make an abrupt stop, making both Aaliyah and I both jolt forward, but get pulled back by our seat belts . I watch as the other car successfully joins our lane and continues driving ahead of us.

I stare at the road ahead of me avoiding eye contact with her. She turns to me and says "what the fuck. ARE YOU CRAZY, DO YOU REALIZE WHAT WE COULDVE JUST GOTTEN INTO YOU WERE JUST IN THE HOSPITAL A FEW MONTHS AGO FOR AN ACCIDENT YOU REALLY WANNA GO BACK WHAT WERE YOU THINKING."

Disappointed in myself, I doesn't respond.

She signs heavily then says "look either you tell me what's bothering you right now or don't talk to me and don't say it's nothing because clearly it's something."

I finally speak up "I'm just distracted"

"No shit Sherlock, about what."

"Just don't worry about it please I promise im okay."

"Ok" is all she says before she begins gathering her things from my car then opens the door to get out. I watch her but before she can get out, I ask "what are you doing"

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm leaving and going back home, you don't wanna talk to me, great, just don't except me to sit here while you're trying to shut me out, talk to me when you actually want me to be around." She closes the door behind her then I roll down the window and say

"How you gonna get home?"

"I'll walk"

"That's like a 30 minute walk let me drop you off."

"No, maybe you didn't understand before, but I don't wanna be around you right now. I'm walking."

Without letting me say another word she plugs in her headphones then walks away in the opposite direction.

I watch Aaliyah walk away until she is out of sight then rest my head on the wheel. "FUCK" I scream out. On the verge of tears, a car behind me honks at me to move.

Aaliyah's POV
I get off the bus that I ended up taking halfway home because walking is a lot of work. I walk around the corner and up the street to my house. I walk and I'm greeted to the smell of my moms cooking.

I walk past the living room to let my parents know I'm home but don't say anything to them because I don't really feel like explaining to them what happened, which I think they understood since they didn't say anything to me either. I head to the kitchen stove and look at the food my mom made, debating if I wanna eat now or not. I end up just grabbing a cereal bar then going to my room.

Once in my room I kick off my shoes and change into some comfortable clothes than plop down on my bed. I grab my phone and text Cassie and Jenelle

I put my phone down then I open up my MacBook, log into Netflix and watch a few movies until I fall asleep.

// Later that night //

I'm awoken to the sound of my phone going off. The name  " Vonteeee 💉 " pops up on my screen. I groan silently then silence my phone and lay in bed a few more minutes before getting up to go to the bathroom and wash my face.

DeVontes POV

She didn't answer Mr and Mrs. Valencia I'm sorry, but I need to get going I told my mom I'd be home by now.

Thank you Devonte we appreciate you coming let us know if you hear from either of them goodnight.

Will do, have a nice night Mr. and Mrs. Valencia

Gios mom lets me out then I head to my car and dial Gios number for the 7th time. This time, he answers.

"Hello?" Gio says. He sounds like he been asleep

"Bro you okay? where ya at your parents about to lose it we called so many times where you been."

"My bad I needed some time to myself I'm gonna make a stop before I head home just don't say nothing to my parents."

"Alright I got you just make sure you call them so they know you good."

We talk for a few more minutes before saying goodbye and hanging up. I start the car and make my way home.

We're getting really close to the end probably about 3 more chapters max and I'm really excited for this ending I think you guys will like it.
