What Am I To You

Chapter 2

I headed out of the classroom with Eunsol because we both had English. After English there was a small break and then came my favourite class of them all; singing class or vocal as we all called it. We were walking down the hallway when someone crossed my path. It was Taehyung. One of his hands was resting against the locker and the other was in his pocket. He thinks he's so cool and I rolled my eyes at the sight of him.

"What do you want Taehyung?" I asked

"I just wanted to ask how your break was Yoona. Am I not allowed to ask that of a fellow classmate?" He was still leaning against the locker and he had that 'I know all the girls adore me look'.

"You don't usually talk to me, so why ask now how my break was?" He usually ignores me so why now all of a sudden when I have to get to class. I tried to move around him to get to Eunsol who was patiently waiting for me a few feet away but Taehyung sidestepped me, grabbed my elbow and spun me around.

"You could at least answer my question before you leave you know." He was looking right into my eyes and for the first time I actually admitted to myself that he is pretty good looking. What, Kang Yoona what are you thinking. He is one of the most popular guys in school, he's not interested in you and you have a class to get to and an SM Entertainment audition in two months. Get yourself together.

"It was good, but I have a class to get to now. If you would please let me go Taehyung."

"Alright." he let go, "see you around Kang Yoona", he waved as he walked away with Jimin.

I walked to Eunsol.

"What was that all about?" Eunsol asked.

"I have no idea." I said, "let's just get to class, we are going to be late."

"Do you think Taehyung has a thing for you?"

"What no of course not. Why would he. I'm not his type and he's such a playboy"

"Okay, okay, but I'm keeping my eye on you two." We started walking to class. It's ridiculous, Taehyung liking me. I'm not even popular and definitely not on his level of 'pretty' so why would he talk to me now all of a sudden. He's probably just going to ask me for homework next time and use his one time being nice to me as an excuse. 

After English class we had our small break so Eunsol and I decided to walk to our lockers to drop off our stuff. We rounded the corner of the hallway and guess who was leaning on my locker. No one other than Kim Taehyung himself. First he talked to me this morning and now he was leaning against my locker looking out the window as if he was waiting for someone. 

"You go on ahead Yoona. I think he's waiting for you. I'll wait here and keep an eye on you two." Eunsol said and she slid back behind the corner. What how could she just leave me alone. I mean I know she has great detective skills but now really wasn't the time. I needed my friend to come with me and not leave me alone to talk to Taehyung again. Oh well might as well get this over with. 

I walked over and was hoping that he wasn't waiting for me but that he was leaning on my locker by accident.

"Excuse me Taehyung, but I have to get to my locker." I said

"I know. I was waiting for you." He seemed very calm as if he had done this a million times before. 

"Waiting for me?" My worst fears had come true. "Why?"

"I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go and grab a drink after school. There are plenty of cafés nearby so we can just chill and talk." He looked me straight in the eyes when he said this which was kind of creepy but I brushed it off quickly.

"Why are you being so nice to me all of a sudden? First this morning you ask me how my break was and now you ask me to go grab a drink with you? Are you really the real Kim Taehyung?"

"Aww come on Yoona, give him a chance." I heard a voice behind me and turned around. Jimin and the rest of his and Taehyung's gang were right behind me. Together all of them made up the seven hottest guys in the school and they never, I mean never pay any attention to girls like me. The group consisted of Taehyung, Jimin, Jungkook, Seokjin, Hoseok, Namjoon and Yoongi and they were all staring at me.

"Yeah Yoona give him a chance." Jungkook pleaded, "Tae's had a change of heart recently."

"You guys call him Tae? I thought you were the cool type and not the type to have nicknames." I never imagined that these seven boys had nicknames for each other. 

"Yeah yeah long story. Now yes or no for today after school." Taehyung asked. I wanted to say no but he had this look which didn't make him seem like such a terrible guy and besides his six friends were right behind me and all wanted me to go so I kind of had to say yes. 

"All right. I'll meet you outside the main gate at four."

"Yes alright! Oh but I might be late you know." Taehyung said and he flashed me the biggest smile I have ever seen. You could see all of his teeth and it was kind of cute to be honest. He left with his friends and I was finally left to my locker.
