What Am I To You

Chapter 8

It was 17:50 and I was on my way to school. I know what some of you might be thinking. It's Friday evening and she is walking to school instead of going out with friends or watching a movie. I know I am crazy, I am Kang Yoona after all, but I had a date with my boyfriend and that's all that mattered to me. 

I made my way past the gates which were for some strange reason unlocked. I hadn't thought about how I would get in before, I would just think of something when I get there I had told myself. Maybe Taehyung left them open though. Nah that can't be it, he's always late. I giggled. The guards just probably forgot to lock the gate. 

It was 18:00 and I was climbing the steps up to the roof of the school. I wonder why he wants to meet me on the roof. I opened the door and a gust of wind caught me. I wrapped my jacket more tightly around me and stepped outside. I looked around and saw him leaning on the railing looking outwards over the city. He was beautiful just standing there. The light from the lamp fell lightly on him enveloping him in an everlasting glow. He was also on time for the first time ever. I walked towards him and he turned around once he heard my footsteps.

"Hey, you're here Yoona." Tae said and he wrapped his arms around me.

"And you're on time for once." I smiled and said.

"Seems like it." He smiled as well and gave me a small kiss on the lips.

"So why did you bring me here tonight?" I asked and snuggled in his arms.

"I wanted to show you this." He said and tilted my chin upwards.

I looked up and immediately lost my breath. The sky was beautiful. It was illuminated with thousands of stars all twinkling and shining down upon us. They were so many and stretched out so far that it seemed like they went on forever. 

"Wow! It's so breathtaking!" I said not able to take my gaze off the sky.

"I know, that's why I brought you here tonight."

"But how did you know that the sky would look like this?" 

"It's always like this. We just never noticed because we are always busy."

"Wow, really. I'll make sure to notice the beautiful things around me more now." I said and continued to look at the sky in awe. "They are so beautiful though."

"I know, but I have the most beautiful one." He said and turned me towards him.

"Oh really. Which one?" I asked and smiled

"You" He said and kissed me again. I wrapped my arms around him and we stayed like that for a minute. 

Afterwards we walked around the school and talked for ages. We walked hand in hand and it was one of the best evenings that I have ever spent. I felt bad for judging Tae and calling him a douche because he wasn't like that at all. He had opened up to me and I saw the real Kim Taehyung. He was kind, gentle and caring. Sure he might have dated a couple of other girls before but that didn't matter to me at the moment. All that mattered was that we were together and that we loved each other.

It was getting late and I told Tae that I had to go home. He said he would walk me home and we started to walk back through the dimly illuminated streets.

"What are you thinking about?" Taehyung asked as we were walking hand in hand.

"Hmmm? Oh nothing much, just about the history test that we have on Monday."

"Aish, you're on a date with your boyfriend and thinking about a history test. Who does that? Oh and by the way you had a very blank look on your face."

"Yeah I know." I giggled, "That's why Eunsol calls me 'blank Yoona' sometimes.

"Really! Jungkook and Jimin call me 'blank Tae' sometimes" He laughed, "Looks like we really are meant for each other." He held my hand tighter and we walked in silence for a couple of minutes. 

"You know Yoona." he said all of a sudden "You're the best girlfriend I have ever had. You see me for me and not just as the cool, popular guy. I'm glad that I got to know you so well this year." 

"Aww Tae" I wrapped my arms around him "That's so sweet. To be honest in the beginning I thought it was a joke or a dare that you wanted to go out with me  but now I know that you really love me."

"Of course I do." he said and his lips brushed mine "I would never do anything to hurt you Yoona, ever. I love you."
