What Am I To You

Chapter 3

I sighed as I leaned back against my locker. Did I really just say yes to kind of going out with Kim Taehyung after school? Aish, Kang Yoona what are you thinking. It's not a date, you are just going to a café. Nothing special. I wanted to believe that it was nothing special but for some reason my heart wouldn't stop fluttering. Just as I was about to scold myself again for feeling fluttery over Taehyung of all people, I heard Eunsol screaming and running at me.

"YAH KANG YOONA, DID HE JUST ASK YOU OUT!" Eunsol screamed and she came to a screeching halt right in front of me. "Don't deny it I heard everything. He asked you out didn't he?".

"Don't be ridiculous Eunsol. He didn't asked me out. He just asked me to go to a café with him after school and talk as friends." I put a lot of emphasis on the words 'as friends' but I don't think Eunsol got the message. 

"Omo, omo Yoona's got a date after school with Kim Taehyung one of the hottest guys in school!!" she said as she jumped up and down in front of me.

"Shhhh, quiet or else someone might hear and I don't want people getting the wrong picture. It's not a date and I certainly don't like him." I turned around and started turning the numbers on my lock.

"I never asked if you like him. All I said was that he asked you out. Wait do you like him!?"

"You probably thought of it though and were going to ask in a couple of seconds. And no for the second time I don't like him. Now come on we have vocal next and I certainly don't want to miss that." I slammed the door of my locker shut and started walking down the hallway towards room 109. 

"Fine if you say so, but I am still keeping an eye on you two. It does seem weird for Taehyung to want to hang out with you but he might turn out to be decent guy. Anyways I want all of the details once you two are finished so you better call me ASAP no matter how late it is." Eunsol said and she linked her arm through mine. She really was the best friend that anyone could ask for but sometimes her romance fantasies went too far. Oh well I guess we will see how this 'date' as she calls it will turn out after school. I just hope Taehyung doesn't act like the douche he normally is.

It was already 16:15 and I was leaning against the main gate. Most of the students had already gone home but there were still quite a few that stayed for after school dance or vocal lessons. I was one of those students but I had vocal lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays and today was Monday.

I was looking up at the sky and wondering how long it would take Taehyung to get here when I heard footsteps and a familiar voice.

"You didn't think I had forgotten you?" It was Taehyung. His bag was slung over one shoulder and his hair was slightly messy but that just made him seem like even more of a bad boy. 

"Let me guess. Jimin had locker trouble." I said and gave him a smile.

"How did you know." He chuckled.

We started walking to the café that Taehyung wanted to take me to. It wasn't far. About a ten minute walk from our school. It was awkward at first because I had never talked to him before and I didn't really know what to say. I have never been out with a guy before either so I am not really experienced in the dating or hanging out area. Luckily Taehyung started a conversation to break the silence.

"So how are your vocal lessons Yoona? I heard that you have a really good voice." He didn't look at me but was staring somewhere into the clouds.

"They're good. I really enjoy them and even take extra lessons after school. I've actually never been praised much for my voice in school but thanks."

"Really, a lot of people say that you can sing really good."

"Really?"

"Yeah." This time he turned and looked at me. The fluttery feeling returned again so I quickly looked away. Seriously Yoona, you've been walking with him for five minutes and feel like this. Get a grip girl. 

"I heard that you want to audition for SM Entertainment this year. Is it true?" 

How does he know about that? Maybe he heard Eunsol talking about it. "Oh, yeah it's true. It's been my dream ever since I was little and my vocal teacher says I have a lot of potential. I'm going to audition with the song 'You Think' by Girl's Generation." 

"Oh I know that song. It's really great and I'm sure that you are going to ace the auditions and get in!" He flashed me one more of his Taehyung smiles and I blushed slightly. Am I hearing correctly. Is this really the real Kim Taehyung. Maybe he is not as bad as I thought after all.

We continued talking the whole way to the café about how he takes dance and also wants to audition some day for an entertainment company. We continued talking inside and I was actually really enjoying myself. I was seeing a side of playboy Kim Taehyung that I had never seen before and I was quite surprised. 

Soon it became dark and it was time for me to go home. Taehyung insisted on walking me home and this time he also carried my bag for me. We reached my house and I opened the front gate.

"Thanks for today Taehyung. I really had fun."

"Me too" He said as he grabbed me and pulled me in closer, "We should do it again sometime." He whispered in my ear and I felt my self becoming bright red and my heart beating faster.

"Uh-huh." Was all I managed to say because Taehyung had already turned around to go home. Did he really just do that or did I imagine it all. Agh I quickly have to tell Eunsol and calm down my heart rate. Could I be falling for him. No that's impossible and I entered my room.
