Castiel landed on the roof of his apartment building after checking the location the man had told him. No one had been there, just an abandoned dock.

His eyes cleared back to his normal blue and he took of his suit. Walking back down the stairs and onto the floor of the apartment. Clutching the glowing vial, he unlocked the front door to a living room unsurprisingly devoid of Dean.

He sighed. Cas had no idea what Dean could be doing at this hour, but he knew Dean sure wasn't here. Good thing tomorrow was Saturday. He slipped into his bedroom and sat on his bed. Wanting to sleep but finding it hard. But he eventually turned off the light and waited for sleep to overtake him.

And when it did, he dreamed for the first time.

"Oh angel," A soft voice called. It was Dean. "What are you doing here?" His green eyes looked at Castiel. "I-I don't know. Where am I Dean?" Dean smiled. "It's a dream." Dean's hand stroked Castiel's cheek. "Which is why you shouldn't be here."

"Why? What is a dream?"

"Castiel," Dean lifted Cas' chin up to look at him, staring into his eyes. "Oh Castiel, angel of solitude and tears," Cas was confused, Dean never used his full name. "Why are you crying angel?" Cas lifted his hand to his eye, to see that his fingers had come away wet, he was indeed, crying. "I-I don't know Dean." When he looked away from his hand, Dean was gone "Dean?" He inquired to an empty space. Castiel dropped to his knees, and began to cry again.

He was alone.

Castiel woke up with a tear stained face, breathing hard. He looked to his alarm clock. It read 5 am. There was no way Cas was going back to sleep after that. He wiped his face, his mind going a million miles a minute. What was that? Why was Dean there? What is a dream? Castiel was scared. He didn't want to be alone.
