Caelie's POV
"Uh, yeah. Sure. We'll be there in about an hour. Yeah. No problemo. Byee." Liam hung up his phone as we waited for him to tell us what the call was about.
All of us had been sitting in the living room, just talking about life until Liam's phone rang. I don't even know how our conversation started at the topic of my and Avery's childhoods and ended up at our favorite YouTubers. All I know is that all of the YouTubers that I watch are tied at number one.
"So, people, I guess the others and I should be heading out in a few, we have some things to do today. Sorry, girls," Liam informed us.
"Well, it's kind of your job, so, wouldn't want you getting in trouble or anything," Avery stated, and Cara and I nodded understandingly.
They got up to fix their stuff up and get ready to leave. When they came back to the living room, they were all cleaned up, and [most likely] had their stuff in a backpack that Louis carried.
"Thanks for everything, you guys. You're all really nice and funny and...not fake," Harry jokingly [I hope] added that last part.
Cara, Avery, and I all got up from our seats to walk the guys to the door. They hugged Cara and Avery while saying some form of goodbye. Then, I hugged all them.
"Be safe," Niall told me while kissing the top of my head and hugging me.
"Yes, mother," I scrunched my face up.
He looked at me while furrowing his eyebrows together and staring at me peculiarly.
"I mean it," he gave me a small smile, waved his last goodbye to Avery and Cara, and walked out the door, along with the rest of the boys.
When the door closed behind Niall, I remembered that there were most likely fans waiting for the boys outside of the apartment. And that they did not know where they were going. I made a beeline for the door and quickly opened it. I scanned the hallway and what do you know, they were all standing at the end of the hallway, facing in my direction. They walked towards our door, and stated the obvious:
"We need some help."
I rolled my eyes at them, which I tend to do a lot.
"No," I smiled. "Avery, Cara, I'll be right back."
I walked over to them and hugged them while whispering in their ears, "Lamb."
I grabbed my phone, fluffed my hair and left the room in a sweater and sweats. I'm cozy.
"You guys have to call some bodyguards or something, you do realize that, right?" I asked the group.
"Yeah, I texted..someone...to come pick us up and...guard us," Liam told me.
"Mhm," I nodded.
They followed me in silence, the only noise between us being the shuffling of the items in the backpack that Louis was carrying.
"So..." Louis tried to start a conversation.
"So..." Harry continued.
"So..."
"So..."
"Centipede," someone whispered. I abruptly stopped in my tracks, which caused whoever was walking behind me to walk straight into me. I heard the person mutter a "sorry", and I said one back. I looked behind me to see who said centipede, because that's random as hell. And I have a massive phobia of insects, so even thinking about them makes my skin crawl and gives me goosebumps. I've had bad experiences with centipedes before, and no, I don't want to talk about it.
"Uh, who said that?" I skeptically asked the group in front of me.
Zayn raised his hand high above his head with a mischievous smile on his face. "I did, Caelie!"
Oh dear god. "Please don't, ever again?" I requested him, hoping that he would see the small amount of desperation in my voice.
"Why not? Centipede, centipede, centipede," Louis annoyingly repeated, and made me shudder at the encounters I have had with centipedes.
"Never mind," I told him, almost feeling nauseous as the memories flooded back to me.
Niall looked at me worriedly.
When I caught his gaze, he asked me, "You okay?"
I nodded with a half smile. Thankfully, we were already in the lobby, and the bodyguards were there. I could see about 30 fans outside of the building, so they should be fine.
"Well, it was nice hanging out with you guys, byee!" I rushed out, giving them all a hug and a kiss on the cheek. I took one look back at them before running up to the room.
By the time I entered the room and shut the door, I was out of breath. Avery and Cara were looking at me from the couch across the room.
"You okay?" Cara asked in her little Irish voice.
"Mhm, yeah, just fine, water?" I said in one breath.
Avery raised her eyebrows at me and got up to get me a glass of water as I collapsed on the floor. I am really tired. And I feel sick from those you-know-what memories coming back to me. They were truly disturbing. I won't make you feel nauseous, too, by telling you what happened, I would feel guilty.
Avery came back into the living room with a glass of water. I immediately sat up, grabbed it from her hands, and gulped it down. I felt so much better. Avery pulled me up and brought me to the couch. She sat me down while she and Cara stood in front of me.
"Er, hi?" I awkwardly said.
"What was that?" they both asked in unison. Freaky.
"What was what?"
"Between you and Niall? You two literally have been inseparable since we left the café!" Cara scolded.
"Uh, no, we have not,"
"Oh yeah? Who else have you had a proper conversation with?" Avery challenged me.
"I talked to the other guys, too! Like....like.... with Harry! When we were together in the kitchen! I had a proper conversation with him!"
"Caelie, that 'conversation' lasted about two minutes, and you know that."
I thought it over, and I guess that I never really had a proper conversation with any of the other guys except Niall.
"Wow, you're actually right," I thought out loud as realization washed over me.
"Yup, so it's official. You like Niall!" Cara squealed in excitement. What?
"Oh! God, no! I don't like Niall in that way! Just as a friend, jesus! Don't think like that!" I quickly rejected the idea.
"You may deny it, but I know that deep in your heart, you love him," Avery cheesily said while making heart shapes with her hands.
I don't like Niall.
Right?
