Caelie's POV

The next few weeks passed by in the blink of an eye, and it was already December 23rd. I finished the abstract painting I was working on, and will see it go for sale at an auction some time in January. It was pretty simple but still complex, if that makes any sense. It was a swirl of dark and cold colors that surrounded a small ball of yellow and bright pastel colors, to represent the bad that almost completely overshadowed the good of the year. Like what Avery was talking about weeks ago.

Damn, I still can't get that conversation out of my head! Like, who just randomly thinks that stuff? Well, maybe if you had one of those minds that are asking philosophical questions like "How do you know reality if you can only ever experience the world as it is filtered through your senses?" or something like that. It's pretty deep.

I changed into my thick maroon sweater and blue jeans. I always did love winter, even though it was cold. I enjoyed being able to wear warm and fuzzy clothes without being uncomfortable.

I'm currently packing my clothes into a small luggage, as Avery and I are going to stay with my dad in Leicester for Christmas. I'm only bringing warm and cozy things, because I doubt that it will be extremely hot over at my dad's place. It's always somewhere in between warm and cool there, so I have to pack specific clothes to fit the weather.

Or, I could just pack random things. I just threw some undergarments, toiletries, jeans, sweaters, short-sleeve tops, and some jackets that varied in thickness into the thing and hoped for the best. Kind of like I always do with my life.

I'm not even kidding, I think in almost situation I find myself in, I just do whatever I think is right, and hope that it is right. The guess and hope method, I like to call it.

My phone beeped a couple of seconds after I finished the strenuous work of zipping up my luggage. I had to resort to sitting on it and closing it, because I didn't want to bring two luggages if my belongings didn't fit in one. The second luggage would just be unnecessary.

I stood up and picked up my phone off of my bedside table. It took me a pretty short time for me to pack my luggage since I didn't really have to think about what to pack, so I had some free time to myself before we left at 9:00PM.

hi

From Niall. I sat down on the edge of my bed while replying to him. (A/N: bold and italics = Caelie, italics = Niall)

i just finished packing, im going to my dad's house tomorrow. how bout you?

oh, cool. im not doin much, just sittin in my room watching tv and talking to you :) also if ya don't mind me asking, what city does your dad live in? just curious

he lives up in Leicester.

ooh, i love leicester ! even though i've only been there once, haha

i bet you'll get to go there again, you guys are probably going to be the biggest band in the world. imagine, selling out arenas, touring around the world!

ha thanks for the enthusiasm, but i highly doubt it. we could just barely sell out small theatres, do you really think we'll be able to sell out arenas? and plus, a world tour is waaay out of reach for us. maybe in about 5 years we'll be able to do that lol

I frowned a little at his words and quickly typed in a reply.

it is completely possible for you guys to do that sort of stuff! you just need to work hard, push yourselves, and never give up
