Okay so Gaby keeps on pestering me to write more, continue, extend the life of, etc. this story. Instead of doing that, I am just going to give you a summary of what was supposed to go down in this story. (Reasons for this being that I am too lazy, neglectful, and inarticulate to compose a beautiful piece of work that I can gladly call my own.) There is waaaaaay too much direct characterization, and I am, again, way too lazy to fix that and incorporate it into the future chapters. She is probably going to slap me up the head for this. I will tell you, though, she is editing the chapters right now, so if you don't want to know the ending just yet, you don't have to read this; just skip over this, and wait for another update.
Caelie, Avery, and Niall were brother and sisters that originally lived underneath a single roof with their two parents, Aidan and Maura. That was until Aidan and Maura split up for reasons unbeknownst to me, which split the three kids up as well. I have barely a glimpse of how custody (of kids) works in the U.S. and have no idea of what happens in the U.K., but Niall ended up with Maura, Caelie went with Aidan, and Avery ended up in a foster system or something where she got adopted by her parents, who I'm not sure I've mentioned before. (The two girls were babies and Niall was, at most, a toddler at the time.)
Blah blah blah, they all grow up, Caelie and Avery become best friends through completely, totally uncoincidental events, Niall becomes a member of One Direction. The girls get backstage passes to One Direction's concert in London (which is unrealistic, because I don't think they performed at the O2 during the UAN tour.) There, they meet the One Direction boys, Caelie faints and has a recollection of a blond-haired boy (which, and this is a shocker, is Niall.) I forgot what happens after that.
That is the important stuff from the chapters I've written and published, but during my many hiatuses, I have formulated rough sketches of scenes in my head that I would have liked to be in the story.
The first scene I thought of was how Aidan and Maura met after 17 or so years of being apart. Basically, there was a party of some sort at Niall's house - a family party, obviously, since there would be parents there- where Caelie invites her dad and Avery. Caelie brings them along with her to go meet Niall's mom. When the two parents see each other, they freak the hell out internally, but hold a calm and somewhat collected conversation to keep the kids' suspicions at bay. Sometime later when all the kids (I should stop calling them kids; it makes them sound like 7 year olds) go somewhere and leave the parents to converse amongst themselves, Maura and Aidan catch up with each other and their lives.
Another scene I thought of was how Caelie found out about Avery and Niall being her siblings. It's very short, since I didn't give it much thought to develop, but it's something.
Caelie was at her dad's house for the weekend, but he was out somewhere doing something, so she was the only one in the house. She was bored and decided to clean up a little bit to give her something to do. As she passed by his desk, she noticed a drawer pulled all the way open. An open drawer was either a mistake or an invitation, so naturally, she walked over to check it out.
There were four huge binders filled with various document papers inside, probably filled with medical, insurance, etc. information. She opened one of the binders and saw her birth certificate, medical papers, and whatever else is important to someone's identity and wellbeing.
She expected the other binders to include information about her parents, since that was a logical approach, but instead was very surprised when the birth certificate of someone with the name Azalyn Rose ________ took the first page. (I forgot to tell yall Avery's name was originally Azalyn, but her adoptive parents, who were Maura and Aidan's friends, changed it out of the other parents' request.) She flipped through it before opening the other binder, who had the birth certificate of a certain someone named Niall James Horan.
okay that one was written badly but !!! it is 1:40 in the morning so who cares.
Gaby is editing the chapters as I type this and probably has no idea that I'm doing this, so I'm going to publish it before she sees it. Bye! Have a lovely day. larry is real
