Five Years Later...
I walk down the halls of the hospital, smiling at Linda, the head nurse who is a charming old woman and sort of my only good friend here in the hospital. She smiles right back at me as I make my way to the cafeteria. I see her standing there on her phone as usual, makes me wonder if she only comes to visit me here for the WiFi.
I take the phone from her. "Hello to you too," I told her with a smile.
Lily smiled back at me. "Well if it isn't the great future Dr. Cullen." She wraps her arms around my neck and places a gentle kiss on my cheek. "How are you, brother?"
"As good as it can be expected," I tell her. "Do you want to have lunch here or do you want to go somewhere else? Unless we're meeting with your fiancee somewhere already."
"Let's go somewhere, hospital food depresses me. I'll let him know where we are meeting," she said, pulling her bag over her shoulder.
"I can't believe I, your only brother and only family, am just now meeting the man you are marrying in four months. I don't even know his name." She just told me about this so called fiancee last week and they've been engage for three months!
"At least you're finally meeting him, brother."
Lily found me approximately three years ago after her mother died of cancer. I simply couldn't believe her when she told me she was my half biological sister. Why? Because I was never told I had one. My parents only had me or at least my mother only had me. Apparently my father had a drunken night one stand with a woman after a fight with my mother. I was the only one who didn't know about her and that is why I treated her like crap when we first met.
That was until I got the results of the DNA test I forced her to take with me that confirmed we were half siblings.
Three Years Earlier...
I sit in the waiting room, shaking my leg impatiently and waiting for them to give me the damn negative results so I can tell this woman that has been stalking me for the past three months to leave me the hell alone and go find someone else to sabotage with her whole half sibling bullshit.
Carlisle is the only one that knows I'm here, or more like the only one who knows about this whole situation. I asked him not to tell Esme because she would get all sentimental, Alice because she would jealous if I had another sister and Emmett right now is too busy with his family to care of what happens in my life. Plus, I didn't want to tell them if this crazy woman sitting next to me turns out not being my sister.
"Could you stop?" She said with an annoyed tone. "I'm just as anxious to prove you wrong as you are trying to attempt to prove me wrong. And trust me older brother, I am never wrong."
"Okay, two things, sister. One: I am not your older brother, okay? Two: the only one who is getting proved wrong here is you," I snapped.
"I'm sure you and I will get really along."
"God, just keep quiet." I scoot a seat away from her but she follows me back. "Could you give me some space?"
She laughed. "I gave you twenty-one years of space, that's more than enough. This is Lily's time with her brother now." I ignore her, pretending to be somewhere else but here with this pain in the ass. "So after I, well, that piece of paper you paid thousands for proves you wrong, do you want to go out and get some lunch, do some catching up?"
"We are not doing any catching up," I mutter under my breath.
"What?"
"I said-"
