Edward's P.O.V

Many days passed by after that night. Bella stayed home with Mia while I went to school during the day and at night I would come home to find her either cooking or taking care of Mia. I was surprised to know that Bella learned how to cook during her time away and I'll be honest, she cooks phenomenal.

In one occasion I came home to the sound of laughter coming from the bathroom. When I walked in I found Bella sitting next to the bathtub and Mia plays in the water. Bella was soaked and Mia seemed to be having the time of her life. Bella laughed whenever Mia either splashed water or called her Ma.

James came to see them almost daily. He would occasionally stay over for dinner and would not leave until both Bella and Mia had fallen asleep. Two days ago, he brought Bella more medicine supplies she need and explained to me what to do whenever there was an emergency. The good thing is that Bella has not had an emergency situation since that day she told me what was happening.

I've learned her routine with her medicine. She needs a shot in the morning before she wakes up and a shot at night before she goes to sleep. Four pills that help her keep her body at balance throughout the day. Those are essential. If she does not take those it's most likely that she will either pass out from low blood pressure or she will be having a very hard time breathing. There were days were she looked out of it, where she could barely stand by herself. Where she would be so tired she couldn't be able to take care of Mia by herself, that's when Lilly would come by to help her out. Days like today.

As I walked in my apartment, I stopped cold at the door when I heard low voices coming from my living room. They were Lilly and Bella's voices.

"That's what I think," I heard Lilly say. "But it's like Edward told you, it's up to you to prove you're a better person than what you were before. I've only known you for a few weeks but I do you do have some regrets."

Bella chuckled softly. "Trust me, I'm starting to believe that Regret is starting to become my second name. I'll never be able to forgive myself for putting Edward and his family in danger."

"You should," Lilly said. "A key point to being forgiven is to forgive yourself first."

That's when I walk in the living room. They both turn their heads to look at me and smile. Bella is sitting on the couch and Lilly is standing in front of her, they are both holding the ends of a blanket that Lily pulls from Bella and finishes folding.

"How was your day?" Bella asked. She looked much better than this morning. The color has returned to her face and so has a little of light in her eyes.

"Tolerable, yours?" I ask as I kiss Lilly's cheek and take a seat next to her. I grab her wrist and take her pulse. I smile when I feel it. "Your pulse is getting stronger."

"I had to force some food into her," Lilly said as she placed the blanket on the couch. "She is really stubborn."

I give Bella a stern look, which is received with a innocent look from her and she raises her hands in the air in surrender. That's when I notice Mia is nowhere to be seen.

"Where is Mia?"

"Lilly put her to bed a while ago," Bella answered.

"Talking about that, I'll go check on her," Lilly said as she stepped back. She had a little smile on her face and gave me a wink when Bella looked away. I rolled my eyes at her and looked at Bella.

"How are you feeling?"

"Much better. You're sister is quite the nurse as well, I can see how you two are half siblings."
