Who Would Have Thought

The warmth of your breath

On this could winters night.

Lying in front of the fire

You holding me tight.

Words of passion

Spoken from lips to ears.

Who would have thought

After all these years

That our love could grow anymore

That I could adore you

And want our love to lift and soar.

Reaching levels

Not describable to you.

Who would have thought

We'd do the things we do.

Your arms

Warming my chilled flesh.

With every word winning me over

Your lips do impress.

Who would have thought

That our hearts would intertwine.

Who would have thought

This came from your love and mine.

Who would have thought

You could do the things you do.

I never thought someone would love me

At least not someone like you.

Nichole once again is putting this guy on a pedestal. She really thought she hit the jackpot, so to speak, when she met this guy. I just wish he had deserved to be there. He did not!

By know reading Nichole's poetry, I am sure that you have come to realize that Nichole was such a true believer in perfect love. I like to think that she would have found it with the young man she started dating just before she died. Obviously, I will never know.

God works in mysterious ways, doesn't he?
