A hand grabbed Heath’s shoulder and pulling him into a small room, the boy tried to make a sound but a large hand that was too big to be a female’s clasped his mouth tightly. Suddenly, another side of Heath kicked in, a stronger and superior one. Without any hesitation he grabbed the attackers hand and pulled it away from him, and then twisted it until the man let out a small cry.

“Stop it!” The other hissed pulling away from Heath’s grip, the room was dark but the mysterious man shuffled along the room slightly until he found the light switch, and with a small “Ah,” the lights turned on.

On the other hand, Heath was in a defense position, any movement the man tried on him, he would be able to snap his neck, or at least beat him to the ground. However, when the man turned around to face him, Heath realized it was only Demetrius. Heath relaxed slightly and let out a long weary breath and then, “What the hell?”

“Look,” Demetrius began, walking towards him, “I need your help. You don’t co-op with me and I will kill you.”

“Where is my choice?” Heath asked quickly.

“Your choice is either you help me or you die, now make your choice, we don’t have much time.” Demetrius spoke, and then he crossed his arms across his chest, “What do you say?”

Heath pondered for a few seconds, “What do you want me to do?”

“I need you to deliver Jasmine a message.” Demetrius spoke, “I’m going to put you in her room for a week as your punishment. I have made a plan with trusted prisoners and army men. We are going to burn this place to the ground along with all its documents and files, and then we can escape.”

“You mean return home?” Heath asked with a slight of hope in his voice. When Demetrius nodded, Heath added, “When do we leave? When is the date?”

“That’s the problem,” Demetrius said, “Jasmine doesn’t have much time, she only has a month or so, and that’s only if I am not forced to leave this prison or killed. I have been removing some of the substances from the needles they are giving her to give her more time before she changes. I have planning this plan since last year, a few months after Jasmine came. It is planned and has been studied carefully.”

Demetrius glanced down at his thick watch on his right watch and let out an impatient sigh, and then he looked up and continued, “On February twenty seventh at eight in the morning sharp, I will come to your cell and take you with me for you to get your injection. I will have an army uniform and weapons waiting for you in this room. You will change quickly and when the coast is clear, you will go and fetch Jasmine to get her injection.”

Hope filled inside Heath, he was going home, and there was a chance he would be back in the safe household with his family. He was listening carefully at what Demetrius was saying, but when he realized that the soldier has stopped talking he asked, “And then what?”

“A fight will start,” Demetrius said, smiling, “It will be three army men and six prisoners, and that’s your cue and many others. You will grab Jasmine and your trustworthy friends and come back to this room; no one will bother you because they will think you are taking them in for punishment because a whole commotion will begin. Everyone will be busy. In this room, your friends will change and grab the remaining weapons. One, however, will be a remote with a little button on the corner, I just need you to simply leave this area, and once secured, press it.”

“Are you sure this will be enough to burn a place down? A small riot-,” Heath began but Demetrius interrupted.

“Look, follow your instructions and don’t worry about the rest. The button that you press will trigger a bomb in the gas and heating sections around the building. You don’t need to know everyone else’s job. Clear?”
