Hello there!

It took me a long long time to update. Get ready for the excuses

I've been very busy with school, which is also sucking all the creativity out of my body. I swear school does that...

But yeah, now that I don't have to go to school for another week I decided that it was time to update again. I finished this at 2:30 AM so be aware of all the incorrect grammer and stuff ;)

Hope you enjoy xx

After spending another hour feeding Ava, Killian had decided to head back to the kitchen to help his father. This left Muriel on her own, but she didn't mind. Now she could curl up in one of the chairs in her library and read a good book.

With quick steps she made her way to the library. Stopping infront of the door that led to her favorite room she looked around to see if anybody had followed her. When the princess saw no one walking around the hall, she pulled a necklace out from under the collar of her dress.

The necklace was an elegant golden colour and Muriel loved it, the necklace was hung with a gold pendant in the shape of a key. There were a few who knew that this key actually fitted on some of the doors in the castle, and the library door was one of them.

Carefully placing the key in the keyhole, Muriel unlocked the door. Trying to get inside as quietly as possible she opened the door a little and slipped inside. She closed the door behind her.

Letting her eyes adjust to the darkness that surrounded her, she could only hear her own breathing. Not many people had access to this library, and the ones that had acces didn't use this one. There was another room full of books, but Muriel preferred this one. Why? Because this was the place where she'd read books about the golden ages with her mother, this was the place where you could find the finest of books.

She took a candle from one of the shelves and lit it, the fire creating some light in the library.

She took a seat at a small table in the middle of the giant chamber and put the candle next to a thick book that already lay there. She opened the book and went to the page where she'd last stopped reading. At the top of the page stood a title, it read: Tales of Old. It was an ancient book, you could easily see that. The pages had turned a yellow-brownish colour over the years.

She began reading.

Long before the winter came
Aslan shook his golden mane
His voice changed the Eastern sky
Stronger than any battle cry
And with a mightier sound
The sun rose above the ground

There was a lion illustrated next to the poem. Her mother had always described Aslan as a strong and mighty lion, one that would defeat all his enemies and keep Narnia save. She had spoken of his eyes that were full of kindness and love as if she had seen him herself. As a child Muriel believed everything she'd told her, but now Muriel wondered how her mother could speak with such passion about someone who hadn't been seen for centuries.

Muriel skipped a few pages and stopped by a drawing of four people dressed as nobles with crowns on their heads, the kings and queens of old. Muriel felt something. She wasn't sure what it was but it felt like someone was calling her, asking for help. The feeling startled her and she stood up from her chair, the book fell on the floor with a thud.

Her hand reached out to pick it up but before she could touch its smooth cover a knocking on the door interrupted her. Muriel jumped at the sound, not expecting company. She straightened her dress and took hold of the candle that still held its flickering flame.
