Hotaru is the chief of the fire dragon village in China. She has a daughter. She teach & guide her daughter. She keep secrets from her but she think it would keep her daughter and village safe. Her history: When she was a teen, she went traveling the countries learning & . Later she meet a teen ice dragon. They went traveling together. The past year they been falling in love each other. They know they can't
be together but they don't care. They know they love each other. Years later, they got marrying secretly and later Hotaru got pregnant. They were happy but also scare. They were worried about the baby might become Shukowauang or Yakuraine & the dragon council dragon might find out about them & that she is pregnant. They made a plan. Hotaru give birth to girl twins. One baby is fire dragon and given the name Huojin The other girl is ice dragon and given the name Fuyuko. Hotaru & her husband notice that the babies have birthmark with dragons with hearts That means the babies are chosen dragons. Huojin is Shukowauang. Fuyuko is Yakuraine. They still are happy of their kids but sad that they will become enemies in their life. They continue their plan. Few months, Hotaru take Huojin back to her village. Her husband take Fuyuko to his village. They both make up stories to cover what happened. They had no connect of each other. That was one of sacrifices they made. But it was to protect them & their kids. Hotaru swear to protect Huojin no matter what. Hotaru always miss her love & her kid Fuyuko.
