Jay's POV

While on my way home, felt like something or SOMEONE was following me. I didn't make it obvious that I felt it but I would glance at window reflections to see if anyone was behind me. Not a soul.

I stare at the floor, watching out for puddles and thought about Legna. How beautiful she is and how... how just adorable she is. Words can't describe how I feel about her. I just want to protect her. She's too pure and too good to be true.

I had gotten lost in my thoughts while I was walking home then I looked up to see that I was lost. I turned around to see if anywhere looked familiar.

I kept walking and walking and walking to only realize later that I was walking in circles. I became confused and turned around, walking and walking to still be walking in circles.

It didn't make sense. I've been walking straight this whole time but everything looks exactly the same.

I sighed and scratched the back of my head. I turned around again to see a dark figure in front of me.

"Jesus!" I said and stumble back a bit. I groaned and rub my temples and sighed. I looked up to see who it was. "Knight, right?" I said and the dark figure lifted his head and it wasn't him. "Mark?" I said.

His eyes widen in shock and his tongue clicked in irritation. The rain had froze completely and I looked up to see everything had stop moving. Time was frozen. I was confused.

"I know what you are, Jay," Mark said in a deep, dangerous tone and I stared at him, still confused.

"And I don't know what you are," I said and slowly backed away from him. "You're a mortal, mortals can't freeze time." I put down my umbrella and put my hands in my pockets.

He stared at me and chuckled. "You've study me?" He asked and I shook my head, looking at the droplets and poking at them.

"No, I just know that you're a mortal that tried stealing Legna's heart," I said and glance over at him. "I studied Knight because I thought I'd be going against him, not you."

"Don't you know?" Mark said and tilt his head with a creepy wide grin as he began to laugh. "I'm dead! I can't come back alive without a god's power to bring me back." The rain droplets had slowly form together and then they became ice spears, poking directly at me.

"That just doesn't add up," I said to myself in confusion and sharp ice had rain towards me. I jumped out the way of his line of fire. I trembled on the floor, kneeling with one knee. I stared at the floor thinking how was this all possible. Then it snapped. "Unless-"

"Quit the chit chat!" He yelled and he rose his arm, threw his arm forward like he was throwing a baseball and the spears of ice had came at me at an incredible speed. I jumped out of the way again and sprinted away from the ice.

He was too fast. This was all unexpected. I didn't know how to fight him! He's suppose to be human. It's impossible to fight back when I don't even know his weaknesses. I just have to play defense and watch his every move.

I ran into one of the houses, running into a random room, hiding behind a desk. Once I leaned against the desk, it twitched like it was a program and I fell onto the floor.

"An illusion?" I asked myself and looked around.

"Come out, Jay. There's no point in hiding," Mark yelled from outside and the house slowly fell apart. I look up, watching pieces of the house be pulled apart and rise to the sky. This place is completely fabricated.

"I see now," I said and he looked stunned. "This is all a dream."

"I didn't think you'd be that intelligent and observative," Mark admit and threw more ice spears upon me. I grabbed a big metal piece of the fabricated house and ran away from the ice. It was four feet long and two feet wide, enough to cover my body.

"Looks like you didn't do your homework either," I made a witty comment and I smile to myself. I was pretty proud then I charge towards Mark with the metal platform, using it as a shield from the ice. The ice pounded against the metal and it shattered the instant it hit the metal.

Once I got in front of him, he was in shock on how fast I was able to notice what was going on.

"You're smarter than the rest," he said and put his hands up in surrender. The ice had been turned back to droplets.

"The rest? You did this to others?" I asked but then he snapped his fingers.

I woke up on a side of a house, in the shade, away from the rain. I looked around and no one was around. I never left Legna's house. I slowly got up and carefully looked around.

I picked up my umbrella and stood up, walking to the front of the house. I knocked on the door and she opened the door.

"That was fast," she said and I slowly nodded.

"Felt like forever," I claimed and she took my hand, pulling me inside.

How was Mark able to catch me? How he put me to sleep? How?
