Chapter 11 - Knight & Legna

Legna's P.O.V

The sunlight peek into my window of my room and woke me up. My eyes slowly open and I look around the room. Friday... Danceclass. Ugh.

I sat up in bed and rub my eyes yawning. I stretch out and blink my eyes rapidly to regain my vision. Time to go to school. I got dress and ready and walk out the door.

"Bye mom, bye dad!" I shouted in the house and lock the door, walking to school instead of taking the bus.

Happy and I talk to each other while we are stretching again. I yawn and look around the room looking for Knight, but he wasn't here. Again. Where could he be going all the time for dance class?... He has been skipping dance class and I was hoping that I could dance with him. I guess not.

"Good afternoon students," Mrs. Lurk said and walk in with Mr. Lurk setting down their bags on the ground. "Where's my lovely, Knight?" She ask and everyone look around.

"Knight's not-"

"Present," A low rasp voice said and I look over my shoulder to see Knight. He wasn't wearing his suit and wore...a tank top. He is so serious but he didn't look at me once. He walk forward to the dance floor while fixing his shirt. I blink and Happy nudge my waist and I chuckle shaking my head.

"You should have a dance off with him," She whisper and my eyes widen and I shook my head. "Oh come on! You're a great dancer like Knight! Or you should slow dance with him at the dance we're having," I lightly hit her arm and she rub it.

"No! He doesn't like me!" I yell at her in a whisper tone and she chuckle looking behind me.

"Then maybe you should go with him," She whisper and I turn to look, and it was Mark staring at me from the corner of the room. Once I caught him staring at me, he laugh nervously looking away to talk to his friend. I blush and shook my head again.

"I can't," I said. "He's dating someone else and it'll look weird for Mark and I to go together," I look back at Happy and she's gone. I blink then I look around for Happy but she is walking up to Mark. I rose an eyebrow and she point at me; then Mark look over at me grinning and blushing.

Does...does he like me?

He rub the back of his neck and smile looking down. Happy put her hands together and it look like she is begging. What is she doing?!

He nod and a smile appear on my face. Knight walk up to me then I look at him a bit shock that he's actually giving me attention.

"Hey," I said in a low tone because I'm shy. It's been months since we talked so I don't know what to talk about with him.

He just stood there in front of me then Mark came over beside us looking at Knight. Knight didn't say word and Mark snickering shaking his head.

"I knew you'd still a coward after all these years," Mark said and push Knight aside, but Knight didn't do anything but just stare down at the ground in shame. I stare at Knight and felt guilty after Mark did that to him. "Legna...I was wondering if-"

"I'll be back," I said pushing Mark aside and chase after Knight as he walk away.

I grab Knight's wrist and pull him back so he'll come a halt. He just stare at the ground and didn't move an inch. I walk over in front of him and look up at him. Knight looks so sad...

"You okay?" I ask and he didn't move at all. He lift his shoulders up then let them fall in relax. I furrow my eyebrows and carefully tilt his chin up so he'd look me in the eyes. His eyes look heartbroken and I tilt my head to the side. "What's wrong?"
