Chapter 6: Surprise!

CARTER'S P.O.V

At this point, I was exhausted. Parker wanted me to make sure that Stella didn't suspect a thing so I did. This whole week I basically spoiled her. I'm honestly surprised her slow ass didn't ask why. But I'm thankful she didn't. I can't take her damn voice anymore.. But after a long week, today was the day.

Earlier today, Parker called me.

"Hey man, it's go time."

"Thank god. I swear, one more day of her constant rambling, I don't know what I would've done."

"Sorry to hear that man." He said chuckling. "But take her out for one more dinner and take her to the place we discussed when you're done."

"Aight man. Catch you later."

PRESENT TIME

After eating at Chili's, I acted like I had a surprise for her. I put a blindfold on her eyes and guided her to where Parker arranged.

"Come onnnn," she whined. "Where are you taking me?"

"Now if I told you it wouldn't be a surprise. Now calm down. We're almost there."

"Fine." She said pouting.

"What a child." I thought in my head as we finally arrived to the place.

"Okay... We're here.."

"Can I take my blindfold off now?" She said reaching towards the blindfold.

"NO!" I said rather quickly.

"But whyyyy.." She said whining again

"You don't want to ruin the surprise do you?"

"No..." "Fine" she said sighing.

"Okay... Sit down rightttttt here." I said guiding her to where she was about to be tied up.

"Okay" she said clueless as ever.

When she sat down, we immediately tied her down.

"Uhhhh, what's going on?" She said in a slight panic.

"Surprise... " I said taking off her blindfold.

"C-carter.. What's going on?" "What're you doing?"

"Don't worry about a thing baby girl" Parker whispered in her ear as he traced his knife up and down her arm.

"Please... Let me go..." Stella said with tears welling up in her eyes.

"But you'll miss out on your surprise!" Parker said still tracing her arm.

"LET... ME... GO!" Stella screamed trying to get her hands free.

"I'm afraid we can't do that sweetheart. Now, I'm going to have to ask you to stop struggling before you regret it.."

"NO!" She yelled, continuing to struggle.

And with that, parker took his knife and slowly pushed it into her stomach.

She let out a agonizing scream as Parker kept going.

"Please..." She said panting.

No matter how much Parker pushed that knife into her, she kept struggling.

Getting fed up, he slapped her.

"You don't know when to stop do you?" He whispered into her ear angrily.

"I'll never stop until you LET.. ME... GO!" She yelled into his face.

"If that's how you want it.. Be my guest.." He said stepping back.

"Drug her." Parker said to me.

"Carter! Please.. No" She said crying.

And with that I grabbed a cloth and held it to her face.

And seconds later, she was unconscious.

ALEXIS' P.O.V

I still couldn't figure out what Carter was up too and I was running out of time.

Everyday, I feared something was going to happen to Stella.

As the days went on, I began to stop trying. Don't get me wrong, she'll always be my best friend and I'm still worried sick. It doesn't matter whether we're speaking or not. But what was the point? I couldn't figure out what to do, and nobody would even believe me. Besides, Carter really freaked me out that day at his friends house. I had no idea what he was capable of and I know that if I kept trying it wouldn't end well in my case at all. But I knew I had to keep trying. I told myself I couldn't give up and so I didn't.

But little did i know my life was going to change forever..

PRESENT TIME

I was on my way home when I heard this sudden piercing scream.

At first, I thought it was a couple of kids playing around so I ignored it.

But the second time was worse. This time I heard the words "LET ME GO!"

But there was a familiarity to that voice...

Following the screams, I ended up close to the same house I saw Carter at last week. I heard the screams louder from an alley close by.

Scared, I carefully walked into the alley. I kept my distance, but I got close enough to hear.

"LET ME GO!" I heard the girl scream.

Getting a closer look, I saw it was...

Stella?

No.

It couldn't be.

But it was.

Dropping my things, I couldn't believe it.

There she was tied up,crying her eyes out.

I didn't know what to do.

Once I saw Carter drug Stella, and saw her pass out, I didn't want them to see me so I waited until they left before I ran to her.

"Stella! Oh my god. Please answer me." I cried.

But she didn't. I scrambled to grab my phone and shakily dialed 911.

I sat there and cried as I waited for the police.

"How could I let this happen?" I thought crying hysterically.

When the police showed up I rushed to them..

"Please...Save her.. I can't lose her.." I said crying into the shoulder of the policeman.

Little did I know, Carter was watching in the background..
