Chapter 14

Ambers POV

We walked out of the house and it was a perfect weather to go to the beach. Its windy but really sunny. But that's not the only thing that caught my attention.

"Are we going to go to the beach in that?" I asked.

Austin laughs and says yea. He walks over to my side of the car and opens the car door for me. He smiled and walks over to his side.

His red Range Rover looks smaller in pictures. But in real life, its bigger than an elephant. I have to tip toe to get in the car. Its funny because I look over at Austin and he's struggling too. We finally got in the car.

"That was hard." Austin glanced over at me and I smiled.

"Um. My friends are coming. And after, I'm going to bring them home. That's why were taking this gigantic car. Is that okay?" He asked me while turning the car on. I nodded and we started driving. We began talking about Austins "used to be" braces and his puka necklace.

"I'm serious Austin! You need to wear your puka shell necklace more often." I said loudly

"I know. I still have it but I don't know if I should wear it." He starts laughing.

I turned to him. "What are you talking about? If you have it, you should wear it! Mahomies would love to see you with a puka shell necklace again." I explained. He turned to me and smiled.

"You know what! I should wear it!" He said laughing and then I started laughing.

"So how long is it to get to the beach?" I asked.

"Well. Right now ..." He looked at the clock and said "... About 40 minutes. Not that long." He explained to me.

"Is it okay if I go to sleep?" I asked him.

"Yea. Go ahead." he smiled.

"But make sure you wake me up when we're there. Okay?" He nodded and kept his eyes on the rode. I put the seat back and closed my eyes. It went blank.

I don't remember what I dreamt of but I remember an echo. It was a voice. It was saying "Hes mine. He's been mine. He will never love you. I've known him longer than you." It was a girls voice. It kept on replaying and replaying and replaying until it stopped.

There was 2 shadows. They were standing close to each other. I can tell one shadow was Austins. I don't know what or who the other shadow was but it was a girl. She spoke again .

"Hes mine. He's been mine. He will never love you. I've known him longer than you." A spotlight hit her face and all I can remember is her pale complexion, her blonde hair and her squeaky voice.

She started screaming "amber amber amber amber amber AMBER AMBER AMBER!" It got louder and louder and louder. I started shouting "NO" That girl voice then started turning into a guys voice. Then I was snapped out of my dream.

"AMBER AMBER! What happened?"

My eyes opened wide and Austin's shaking me.

"Why are you screaming Maddie's name?" He asked me and I sat up.

"I was screaming Maddie's name?" I asked Austin as i touched my forehead.

What just happened? Did i just dream of Austin and Maddie?

"Yea. you were screaming her name. Are you okay?" He looked so scared.

"I - I'm fine." I stuttered. I looked around and I see guys and girls in their bathing suits. I see the soft warm sand and the beautiful blue sky.

"Are you sure youre okay?" He asked again and I nodded.

"Okay. Well we're here." He said in a low voice. Austin got out the car and I stayed.

Why did I dream of Maddie? What was that all about? I hope Maddie isn't here. I really hope I don't meet her.

I've heard bad things about Maddie. She thinks shes friends with Austin but really she isn't. Before Austin was famous, she didn't even liked him. Now Austins famous and she likes him. She doesn't make any sense.

Why doesnt she like Austin? What did he ever do to you? but the real question is Why am I dreaming of her?
