Chapter 48

Austins POV

"WHAT!" I screamed at Alex.

"Yea man." Alex said standing there with his crutches.

I sat on the bed and said "What... I can't believe it." I said looking down.

"I know." Alex went over to me and patted my back.

I hear the door open and I see Sara walk in.

"What happened? ...." She looked at me and then to Alex.

"Did you tell him!" She screamed at Alex. I looked up at Alex.

"No I didn't tell him." Alex said calmly.

"Tell me what?" I said to Sara. She looked at me.

"Oh uh nothing..." She sat on the chair.

"Why are you sad?" She seemed suspicious.

"Alex just told me ..." I pointed at Alex. She looked directly at Alex.

"Told you what?" She questioned.

"He told me ..." I looked down and closed my eyes.

"DAMMIT ALEX I TOLD YOU NOT TO TELL ..."

"That there's no more pizza!" I interrupted Sara.

"Wait ... what?" Sara looked at me.

"Yea. Alex said that you guys ate pizza without me." I looked at Alex.

"How could you!!" I screamed at Alex.

Sara's POV

I thought Alex told Austin that Ambers leaving.

"I thought ..." I started laughing.

"You thought what?" Austin said. I looked at him.

"Oh nothing." I said looking down.

"Sara..." I looked at Austin.

"What happened?" Austin said.

"Nothing happened." It got silent.

Austin looked up at Alex then back at me.

Quick do something. Ask something. I thought to myself

"Wheres Robert and Zach?" I changed the subject.

"They're downstairs eating. What's wrong?. What are you guys not telling me." Its like he saw right through me.

"Okay don't get mad bro." Alex said while walking over to me.

"I won't get mad" Austin said looking at both Alex and me.

"Ambers going to New York." I blurted out. Alex turned to me and gave me a "why did you do that" look.

We both turned to look at Austin. Hes looking down.

"Did she get accepted to New York University?" He asked us.

"Yea .. how did you know?" I asked him.

He looked up at me and said "We went out. She told me about NYU." He said smiling.

"I'm happy for her." He got up.

"Do you know when she's leaving?" He asked me.

"She's going up to New York on Zach's birthday. But shes gonna be back." I said. He nodded and he walked to the bathroom.

When he went in the bathroom Robert and Zachs heads popped at the door.

"Ambers leaving?" Robert asked me. I sighed.

They both walked in the room and I had to tell them what happened with Amber.

Ambers POV

Once I woke up in the morning I brushed my teeth and did whatever I do in the mornings. I plopped on my bed and went on my computer.

Researching for a place to live is so hard! I thought to myself. 2 hours later and I still couldn't find anything. My phone started vibrating. I looked at it and its Austin.

Were friends now. I can still talk to him. Okay ... Answer it. I told myself.

I pressed the green button and said "Hey"

"Hey amber." I hear him say.

"What happened?" I said still looking at the computer screen.

"Um meet me at Miami beach." I hear him say.

"What? Miami Beach?" I asked him.

"Yes Miami Beach.. Meet me there at 6 at night ... and Amber?" He asks me.

"Yea?" I ask him.

"I'll see you there" He hanged up the phone. My heart started beating fast.

Why does he want to see me? I asked myself.

Don't worry Amber. You guys are just friends.
