Chapter 21

Saras POV

"AMBER!!" I got up and ran past Austin to get to Amber. She kept on running but she finally stopped. I got to her and hugged her. I can tell she was crying. She was sobbing on the sleeves of her jacket.

"Aw. Um ..." I looked around so we can sit somewhere. There was a bench up the hill. I looked at Amber and she was still crying.

"Okay. Okay. Come on." I patted her back and lead her up the hill and onto the bench. Once we got to the bench she calmed down a bit.

She lifted her head out of her hands and she looked at me. I can see her because the street light was shining above her. Her mascara was running and she was red.

"Its not my first time a guy did this to me." She looked at me. She sniffed.

"Really?" I said shocked. She nodded.

"My boyfriend before austin, we were out on a date and he confessed that he kissed my best friend. Then he said that he loves her..." She wiped her tears and kept talking.

".. After he said that he loves her, he said that its not working out and he left. And that was that." She looked down.

"Then what happened?" I asked her.

"Then a few weeks later i heard that he was going out with my best friend."

"Im sorry" I said looking down. I hear someone scream my name.

"Saaraa" It was Alex. He walked up the hill and kneeled next to me.

"How is she?" He whispered to me.

"Shes alright." I looked at him. He had a grey beanie on and his hair stook out of his beanie. His hands were in his pocket.

I turned back to Amber. "Do you want me to bring you home?" I asked her.

She nodded and said "Yea." She wiped her tears and got up.

"Are you gonna be okay Amber?" Alex asked her. She said that she'll be alright and she started walking to my car.

Alex turns to me and says "Are you gonna be alright?" He smiles

"Ill be fine." I smile back. I start walking away. Then I hear alex call out my name again.

"Yea" i turn back suddenly.

He smiles and says "Goodnight." I said good night back and I walked to my car. Amber gets in the car and so do I. I looked at Alex and he waves goodbye and smiles. I start up the car. As the car is heating up I ask amber what her address is so I can put it in the GPS. She told me and we started driving. The whole ride back Amber was silent. She rested her head on the car door. I constantly look back at her to see if shes okay. She fell asleep. I was tired but I stayed awake. I turned on the radio to wake me up. There was nothing on the radio. All of the music were country so I turned it off. I dont know why but all I can think of was Alexs smile when he waved to me. It took an hour to get to where she lived. An hour of silence and my thoughts.

"Your destination is on your right." The GPS said. I looked to my right and I saw house. It was a cute house. It had blue shudders and the whole house was light brown. It was so cute. I stopped the car in front of her drive way. I looked at Amber.

"Amber?" I shook her to wake up. She started moving.

"Amber. We're here" I whispered. She sat up and wiped her face. Then she looked at me.

She stretched and said"Thank you Sara." I nodded.

I smiled and said "youre welcome." She opened the door and walked to her front door. Once she reached her front steps she turned back around and waved goodbye. I waved back. Then she walked in her house.

I yawned and I turned the car back on. My phone vibrated. I took it out of my pocket and looked at it.

It was a text from Alex. I opened it and it said "Can we talk?" I turned the car off and texted back "Talk about what?" I waited for him to text back. Then he texted back and it said "Talk about Us." When I read that my heart sunk.
