A couple of weeks went pretty fast as time moved on and as it did, everything started to coming back together again. It was a sunny Saturday morning when Amber, along with the Dogpatch team and Dewy, stood in front of the Mayor's mansion and on a large stage a couple of feet from the ground. There was a crowd in front with close to 70-100 people, all originating from different Stations close by and family members that were able to make the Awards Ceremony.

Connor, Lionel, Pep, Terence, and Joe were all geared up in their traditional 'formal' wear as a part of the rescue team of the city. It was the kind of uniform that was savoured for major events that consisted of special suits and a fancy hat with a badge on it. Amber, however, had found herself wearing near enough the same as what she had worn to the firefighters' benefit – she wore a dress that was half white on top and the part that flows down was colored blue with flowers on it. The heels she had worn to the benefit were damaged during the fire she got caught in the middle of so she had to go out and buy a new pair and surprisingly, they felt much more comfortable than the last. Her hair was bundled up in a neat loose bun courtesy of Pep and the black blazer around her body made the attire feel more appropriate.

Some would say a lot has happened over the past couple of weeks and many of those things centered around two specific people. Corbin Sellars had been ratted out by Zach Hayden after a scandal had been brought to light; the stadium that was planning to be built. It's been all over the newspapers since the big reveal and one of them even showed a satisfying picture of the man himself, Corbin Sellars, being dragged into a police car by three cops with handcuffs around his wrist. He did not look pleasantly to the media and that of the people who brought his plan into the open. Both Corbin Sellars and Zach Hayden were surely going to a hefty sentence for the crimes they have committed against the people.

The council is soon set to vote who will take Corbin Sellars' place as the president of the city council.

Connor stood next to his daughter with an undeniable proud smile on his lips as the Mayor presented a medal for her – the team and himself had already been given theirs. Amber tilted her head slightly as the man hooped the medal over her head, the point brushing briefly against her nose. As the cold plate touched the skin on her chest, she smiled at the achievement before looking back up. "Thank you." She told the Major in a grateful tone, still unable to really believe that she was able to receive a medal as well. When her father told her the news – she hadn't actually believed him, but did so when the Major himself asked to speak with her over the phone in person.

The man smiled, giving her a nod, "You're welcome, my dear." He reached forwards to shake her hand and she returned the gesture. As the crowd in front burst with applause; Connor and his daughter started walking back towards the rest of the team – everyone's eyes were bright with joy and their lips never lost those beams. Amber was looking towards the crowd for a moment when her eyes met Masen's - he sat in the front row with his mother. A small silly smile emerged on her lips when he put up both his thumbs in her achievement – grinning for her.

Joe laughed with delight and so much so that he threw his arm around Terence's neck, completely disregarding the fact that he was supposed to be a superior. Given what he's usually like at the station – a hard ass - this was a surprise to one member of the team in particularly. Terence. The younger male nearly jumped out of his skin when he felt Joe doing this, but after a few moments, he joined in happily in the bliss.
