Chapter 33: Sad

*Another 3 months later*

Ok, it's been the six months, and Luke still doesn't know I'm pregnant. I've tried so many times to tell him but something always seems to pop up.

Today is the day he comes home, and I'm nervous as hell. I don't know if he's going for get mad, or be happy, or....I don't know.

"You need to relax" my mom said over the phone.

"How can I relax mom, I'm 22 weeks pregnant and my fiancé doesn't know" I said.

"I know sweetheart, but you have to relax" she said.

"I know, I know, I just can't" I said. "I'm just scared to see his reaction"

"I understand, I have to go to work, call me and tell me what happens" she said.

"Of course" I said.

"Ok, love you" she said.

"Love you too" I said.

Thankfully the boys have rides and are staying at their parents house, but Luke is staying here. He's going to be here any second. My heart is pounding.

I go to the kitchen to get some water and as I reach for a cup, I hear the front door open.

"Babe, I'm home" I hear Luke say.

"I'm in the kitchen" I say, with the words slipping out do my mouth.

Thank god for this large hoodie, you can barely see my bump.

I see a figure stand behind me, I put the glass down and turn around. I see Luke smiling. I smile and he walked up to me.
We wrap out arms around each other, until he freezes. He slowly pulls back and looks are my curiously. I look down not wanting to make eye contact.

"Amber" he said, his voice deep and husky. I hummed in response. "Are you pregnant?"

"Yes" I said quietly.

"What? W-why didn't you tell me?" He asked.

"I tried, every time we talked. Right when I was going to tell you, you'd have to go for sound check or rehearsals" I said.

"Babe" he moaned, sadly. He wrapped his arms around me, and I wrapped my arms around him.

"You do know, I wished that when I got back you were pregnant right?" He asked.

"Are you serious?" I asked.

"100%" he said.

"I can't believe you" I said.

"But it's true, I wanted more kids and I got one" he said. "One right?"

"Yeah, one" I said.

"How many weeks?" He asked.

"22" I said.

"The gender" he said.

"I have it saved on the fridge for when you got home" I said.

"So you don't know?" He asked. I nodded.

"I don't know" I said.

I walk up to the fridge and grab the envelope the same magnetized to the fridge.

I gave it to Luke. He smiled and looked at me. I nodded and be opened the envelope. He opened the paper and looked at it. He smiled.

"It's a boy" he said and I smiled. He smile grew bugger had he went to hug me. "I love you, so much"

"I love you too" I said. "Let's go see the finally potty trained Twins"

"They learned how to use the toilet?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yep" I said.

We start going up the stairs and into the nursery. The twins were both asleep since its late at night.

Luke smiled.

"They've gotten so big" he said, then frowned.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I'm missing out on all their important milestones. I'm an awful dad" he said. My heart dropped.

"You are not an awful dad Luke, not by a long shot" I said.

"Yes I am" he said, harshly making me jump. "I'm never here for them"

I stayed quiet.

"I'm the worst father" he said, his voice breaking, making my eyes water.

"You're not Luke, you'll never be" I said. "They'll will love you no matter what, and I will love you even if you're 10,000 miles away"

"I love you too" he said. He wrapped his arms around me. "I miss having a bump between us"

"Really?" I asked.

"Definitely"

Sorry it's so short, school just started and it's super super stressful. Plus, I haven't been able to write. But, I got a special announcement.

To start off, this is Book 1 to my 5sos become dads series. Starts with Luke, then Michael, Calum and Ashton. What I'm going to do is after around 30 chapters of one book, I'll start the other.

For example, since Luke's fanfic is around 30 chapters, on Sunday, I'll start Michael's fanfic. By the time Michael's fanfic reaches 30, Luke's will have finished and Calum's will start. Then once Michael's finish, Calum will have around 30 and then Ashton starts, until I'm finished with all four books.

If I'm still into writing after that, and hopefully get requests, I will do sequels to each book staring the kids of 5sos.
